What Youโll Need
Pedigree Puppy canned food
Regular dry puppy food โ Diamond Puppy or Taste of the Wild Puppy
Warm water
Puppy probiotics
Optional: Canned pumpkin or Dyne
How We Make It
Start with the canned food.
Put the Pedigree Puppy canned food into a large bowl or shallow pan and mash it down with a fork.
Add water.
Stir in warm water until the canned food is loosened and has a smooth, mushy consistency.
Add the dry puppy food.
Stir the dry kibble into the canned food mixture.
Add more water as needed.
You want enough water to allow the kibble to soften completely. Stir everything together and let it sit for 10โ15 minutes so the dry food can absorb the water.
Mash and mix.
Once the kibble has softened, mash it down and stir everything together. Add additional warm water until you reach the consistency your puppies prefer.
Add probiotics.
Mix in puppy probiotics according to the directions on the probiotic product.
Optional additions:
Canned pumpkin โ can be added for extra fiber.
Dyne โ can be added when additional calories are needed.
Goat milk powder โ can be mixed in for extra flavor and nutrition. Follow the product's directions for the appropriate amount.
๐ผ Adjusting the Consistency
For puppies just learning to eat, make the mixture softer and more soupy. As they become comfortable eating, gradually make the mush thicker with more softened kibble and less water.
Tip: Make smaller batches as needed and serve fresh. Always provide access to fresh drinking water as puppies transition to solid food.
