The 4th of July is genuinely hard for a lot of dogs and cats. The sounds are sudden, unpredictable, and there's no way to explain to them what's happening. A few things that actually help: keep them indoors well before dark, make sure their microchip information is current (lost pet reports spike every July 5th), and give them a room with background noise, familiar smells and something they love to chew or curl up with. If your pet has had a rough time in past years, ask us about options before the holiday gets here. 🐾
