Got out for a little bit in between rain showers here in SD. Put the whole Jägerskirche gang down with intentions to let them run more than anything and we ended up with two. I love these dogs!

Cast and Blast on the Snake River was the hardest hunting I’ve ever done. I was on my hands and knees at times to get up to the birds. Glad I did it but the older I get the flatter I like it!

My Sugar got a clean bill of health today! Hunting Hills Phearless Ruby Ray aka Sugar, Roo Monster, has lived up to her name. That does not always serve her well. She has had a couple of injuries because she is full tilt boogie when we hunt. When it comes to heavy cover my male , Church Will pick his route in, the Roo Monster just goes and leaves a dog sized hole through whatever it is . The latest was an eye injury that ended up needing a graft. Thank you Lord for pet insurance. I don’t want her drive diminished but I wish she could know how sick it makes me when she gets hurt. Maybe she would be just a little more careful. Ehh probably not!🤣

Notice of Town Hall Meeting

Dear Members, I am pleased to announce my nomination for President of the SMCA and invite you to a town hall meeting on September 8th at 8pm Eastern Time via Zoom. A key priority of my presidency will be to enhance communication and encourage participation within the Club, starting with this meeting. I would like to hear your thoughts on the Club's strengths, areas for improvement, and any concerns you have. Your input is invaluable, and I encourage you to share your ideas. During the meeting, I will outline my plans for the AKC transition and my vision for the Club's future. Please message me for the Zoom link. I wish you all an enjoyable and safe Labor Day.

Please share with other members.

Busy weekend. I went up to PA for the SMCA NorthEast Regions event on Friday and Saturday. Jennifer Kellog did a hell of a job on organizing a great event! Thank you to her and her team of , Wendy Jordan, Doug Lyon, and Lee Corbin for all the work that they put into organizing the event.
It was good to see familiar faces and meet some new folks. It was an added surprise to see two of our pups, Trinity with Dennis Schaeffer and Briar with Amanda Smith, there! Thank you to all who came out. I love the dedication our owners show to these amazing dogs!
I got home from the event at 01:45 a.m.. I missed my turn because I was on the phone, thanks Dave! Got up at 6 a.m. for training. I had to come to the firehouse today to take a break.😄
