Today, at Rancho Reposo, we pause in honor.

On this Memorial Day, alongside the silent strength and noble spirit of the Friesian horse, we remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to something greater than themselves.

There is something deeply symbolic about standing beside a Friesian on a day like today. Their presence reminds us of courage without aggression, power guided by loyalty and the dignity of those who carry great weight with honor.

Many who served carried invisible battles long after returning home. Today, we honor not only their sacrifice, but also their humanity, their families and the profound cost of protecting others.

From the savannahs of Rancho Reposo, surrounded by freedom, silence and living beauty, we offer our deepest gratitude to those who never made it home and to the families who carry their memory forward.

May we live in a way that honors their sacrifice.

With respect,
Rancho Reposo

Sometimes healing looks like standing between two horses… and finally feeling safe.

This is not AI.
It’s nature.
It’s real.
It’s majestic.

And these are the kinds of experiences that will never be replaced!

There’s a pattern we can’t ignore…

The people who come to Rancho Reposo carry something truly special.
Presence. Depth. Heart.

Every story you share becomes part of this place.
Every connection leaves a mark.

We’re grateful for each one of you.
Bless you… and until we meet again.

There was a time when only three Friesian stallions remained.

Queen Wilhelmina called them a national treasure and promised to protect these black giants.

Today, that legacy lives on in The Return of the Giants, a bilingual children’s book inspired by the Friesian horses of Rancho Reposo, Morriston, Florida.

From a royal promise to a living sanctuary, this is a story of preservation, beauty, respect, and the quiet strength of a gentle giant.

The giants have returned.

And in their presence,
something in us remembers
how to heal.

Watch this carefully…

No one is pushing.
No one is forcing.
Yet they all move… as one.

To look into the eye of a horse…
face to face, this close…
feels like looking into your own soul.
