Thoroughbreds are hitting the track early as Will Rogers Downs kicks off spring racing season on Jan. 12. The earlier start , nearly two months ahead of last year's March 3 opening, will conclude on Kentucky Derby Day, May 2.

The addiction is real! Jay Goodwin and I decided we needed a couple more 😂. Dialed in mare in foal to Mystic guide we are bringing back to OK to breed to Ami’s Flatter. 2nd dam also the great Princess Rooney. Wild ended up with 2 of them in one day! Also bought this City of Light mare that will stay in Kentucky with Jay and be bred in 2026.

Had to have this mare out of the digital sale today. In foal to Echo Town and we will breed her back to Ami’s Flatter. Not everyday you see the great Princess Rooney in a pedigree and She is the 2nd Dam. I had a VHS when I was a kid of like the 10 best breeders cups races. Had the likes of Alysheba, Cigar, Lure, Personal Ensign and then Princess Rooney!! She won the first ever Breeders Cup Distaff in 1984.
