That face says everything — he knows the dog didn't start it, and he knows his parents are going to know it too.

You'd come in holding your hand, ready to present your case, and before you got three words out the question was already coming: "What did YOU do?" No investigation needed. No neutral party called in. The dog had been fine all morning, the evidence was on your hand, and the family court had already reached its verdict. You learned real fast that animals had limits, that boundaries were real, and that consequences followed actions in a very direct and immediate way.

Our parents didn't raise victims. They raised kids who understood cause and effect before they finished elementary school.
