The Union County Animal Control is located at 908 Sandy Lane, Morganfield, KY 42437. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 8:00 am -4:00 pm. The county shelter only impounds dogs. Due to the number of animals received, the shelter is unable to keep them forever, so their time is limited. Strays brought into the shelter are held for 5 days before being available to the public for adoption or rescue.

This allows time for owners to be reunited with their pets. We recommend TAGGING and/or MICROCHIPPING your pets. We do scan for microchips and check for tags at our facility. The public is encouraged to visit during normal business hours if interested in adopting a dog from the pound. More information on adoption is available at the facility. We strive to maintain good working relationships with area rescues in order to give each dog the best chance for a better life. We highly recommend all pet owners spay and neuter their dogs. The Union County Animal Control will require all adopted dogs to be spayed or neutered.

We are working to stock our local food pantries and feed cats and kittens in need right here in Union County! We are looking for donations of quality dry cat or kitten food to help our furry friends.
As a thank you for your support, you can enter for a chance to receive a fun prize bundle: a Nee Doh Fab Four, a Mystery Dumpling, and a Funky Pup, all generously donated by Carrie Griggs!
How to Enter:
• 📍 In Person: Drop off 3 lbs or more of quality dry cat/kitten food at 908 Sandy Lane, Morganfield, KY 42437.
• ⏰ Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• 📝 Each 3 lb+ donation earns you an entry! You can drop off donations up until the drawing time.
No Donation Necessary to Enter:
• ✉️ By Mail: To enter without a donation, mail a 3x5 card with your name, phone number, and the word “Meow” to:
UC Animal Control, PO Box 60, Morganfield, KY 42437
• 🕒 Mailed entries must be received by May 20, 2026, at 3:00 PM. You may also drop off a 3x5 card in person at the Sandy Lane address up until the drawing time.
Drawing Details:
• 🗓️ Date & Time: May 20, 2026, at 3:30 PM.
• 🏆 Winner: Will be selected at random and announced on this page!

This big fella was found in Uniontown on 2nd St, he was over by the caboose and park area yesterday so we’re not sure how long he’s been loose. This is Junebug she is an Australian Shepard Merle in color and very friendly but a little shy so she may run if you try to catch her. She’s been missing from Ccc Camp Rd in Morganfield since about 9:30am this morning any help is appreciated if you’ve seen her!
