🌱 Seeing who might be interested in a weekly microgreens box this August!
Hey Stephenville and Morgan Mill neighbors! Most of you probably know me around town from driving the school bus routes, hanging out at the kids' baseball fields, or just as one of our local veterans.
After leaving the service, I struggled for a while to find my footing and find a real sense of purpose in civilian life. A few years ago, I went through a veteran-farmer training program called Battle Ground to Breaking Ground, and it completely changed things for me. Working with my hands in the soil gave me a real mission again and brought me a lot of peace. Since then, I’ve been running Bullfrog Backyard Farm right here at the house. I grow fresh broccoli and radish microgreens, and I’m currently finishing up a new supergreens mix.
I’m looking to officially get things rolling this August with a simple, weekly farm box subscription. Before I start planting out my racks, I wanted to see who around town might be interested in locking in a spot. To keep the quality exactly where it needs to be around our busy schedules, I’m only taking on 5 local families to start. Here’s how it works: Every single Tuesday afternoon—right after I wrap up my school routes—I will harvest, pack, and drop off your greens. You’ll get 2 fresh clamshells every week containing a mix of our broccoli, radish, or supergreens.
Because I cut them the exact same day you get them, they stay crisp and last for a full two weeks in your fridge with zero waste. They are perfect for tossing on your morning eggs, stacking on sandwiches, or blending into healthy smoothies.
The subscription is a flat $40 for the entire month (which breaks down to $10 a week). Payment is handled upfront at the end of July so I know exactly how many seeds to plant for you. We can coordinate an easy pickup spot on Tuesday afternoons, whether that’s at the bus barn, the school parking lot, the ballfields, or right on my front porch. I’m keeping it strictly first-come, first-served for these first 5 spots.
