Bring your wallet and your appetite when you come to the Rowan County 4H Horse Club Fun Show on November 8, 2026 at 1 pm!! The Drive In Food truck will be serving an amazing menu😋. They will be there 12:30-4:30pm!

*This show is open to the public! The funds raised through participation, donations, sponsorships, and spectators will go to helping our local 4H kids to prepare and compete at the state and maybe even the regional level!! So, please stop by and eat, drink, spectate, and visit our local vendors, such as Back Wood Patriot!

More photos of the horses looking for new pastures! All are broke to ride. Nitro is a gray gelding and is getting lighter every year. More whoa than go. Gunner (middle picture) is an older guy but has given many a lesson to young inexperienced riders. He would be perfect for a beginner, especially a child.

Great News! Backwood Patriot will be setting up at our Fun Show on November 8 at 1pm! I can't wait to see what they will bring🐎. They make hand made custom wooden flags!!
We are still looking for vendors, let me know if you know someone interested!

ARENA SAFETY RULES
*Proper etiquette when riding with others*

1. Yield to Beginners & Children: Fast work (loping/cantering) must cease immediately if children or beginner riders enter the arena.
2. Match the Ring Pace: If the arena is crowded or full of horses moving at slower, intermediate gaits, all riders must match the general pace of the ring.
3. Pass Safely: Always call out your inside/outside passes. Never loop or rush up closely behind another horse.

Trail Ride at Caney Loop was a success!! We won't talk about how I had the most problems. Lol. In my defense, it was Livewires first time on the trail😉. However, Scarlett & Ella had perfect rides and toughed it out like seasoned riders❤️. Mary Elizabeth Morris keeps improving with her Kelpie every ride!! It won't be long before they are going endurance solo! As usual, Ava Tate, Mallory Baldwin, and Bailey Snowden were natural and fearless and there sharing the fun!! Thanks for a great ride everyone🐎
