💦 Pool days are fun… but don’t forget about your pet’s ears! 🐶👂

If your dog loves swimming, splashing in the lake, or even just playing in the sprinkler, moisture trapped in the ears can create the perfect environment for bacteria and yeast to grow. This can lead to uncomfortable ear infections.

Here are a few simple tips to help keep those ears healthy:
🐾 Dry your pet’s ears after swimming or bathing.
🐾 Use a veterinarian-recommended ear cleaner to help remove excess moisture and debris (only as directed by your veterinarian).
🐾 Watch for signs of an ear infection, including head shaking, scratching at the ears, redness, odor, or discharge.

Some pets, especially those with floppy ears or a history of ear infections, may benefit from routine ear cleanings as part of their regular care.

🐾 August is Itchy Pet Awareness Month 🐾

If your pet is constantly scratching, licking, chewing, or rubbing, don’t ignore it! While occasional scratching is normal, persistent itching can be a sign of allergies, skin infections, parasites, or other underlying conditions.
