I have been pretty bad about updating this page for the past couple of months!

In June we attended UKC Premier Nationals 2026 for the very first time. I had heard great things about Premier, but experiencing it in person exceeded every expectation. Having so many performance sports, conformation events, and fellow dog enthusiasts all in one place was incredible, and it's safe to say Premier has earned a permanent spot on my show calendar.

Calypso had an outstanding weekend, earning her RACEA title, a perfect 100 Rally Triple Q, Best of Breed Altered, an Altered Gun Group 4, a leg toward her Emerald Grand Champion, a Total Dog, qualification for the 2026 Total Dog Invitational, and the UPA Poodles That Do More Award.

Eevee also had an unforgettable Premier, adding RACEN, RACEA, HOP, and RUSH titles to her name. She placed 3rd in the 50-pound Weight Pull class on Thursday, earned 10 Weight Pull champion points, and she received the UPA Poodles That Do More Award. Eevee also made the final cut down to the last 10 or so multicolored standard poodles out of a huge class of 20+ dogs during the UPA National Speciality.

We kept the momentum going at the Dayton June UKC show, where Calypso reached another major milestone by earning her UROC (UKC Rally Obedience Champion) title! Along the way she also picked up four Altered Best of Breed wins, four Altered Gun Group 2 placements, and multiple placements in the Rally ring while finishing with 90 of the 100 points needed toward Rally Master Champion.

I'm incredibly proud of these girls—not just for the titles they've earned, but for their enthusiasm and versatility. Whether we're in the conformation ring, the rally ring, pulling weight, or trying something new, they continue to remind me why I love this sport.

This weekend Calypso and Eevee received their official invite to the 2026 AKC Rally National Championship. I am so proud of both of these girls and how much they give to me every time we step foot into the ring.

What a wonderful weekend in Shipshewana!

Eevee earned 4 new titles this weekend across 3 different sports. She also earned 25/100 points towards her weight pull champion!

Another health test passed! Eevee had blood drawn back in February for her OFA Thyroid.

I still plan to do her OFA hip and elbow finals at the end of this year. I will also potentially upgrade the basic cardiac to an echo to be extra safe although I have no concerns there truthfully.

But so far her results are looking good and I hope it stays that way!

You win some, you lose some, and this past weekend we did a bit of both.

This was the first weekend I’ve truly put Eevee to the test with both showing and tons of sports. She competed in nosework, rally, obedience and conformation.

In nosework she ended up with 2 new titles, Novice Vehicles (NV) and Novice Exterior (NE). She also earned 1 leg in Novice Interior and is now one leg from her NN (novice all elements) title.

Next up was obedience. I much prefer rally to obedience but I have to say I think Eevee prefers ob. She loves being pet and praised in between exercises. She might be the dog that pushes me to try it more. She earned 2 Q’s (195 3rd place and 194.5 2nd place) to wrap up her Pre-Novice OB title (PN).

Rally is my comfort zone but leave it to Eevee to keep me on my toes. She earned 2 Q’s (93 4th place and 96) in RO3B and is now 1 short from URO3.

We struck out in the show ring this weekend. While that’s disappointing, we shared the ring with some wonderful dogs and handlers whom I love dearly. Congrats to everyone.

What a fun start to our weekend in Jefferson, GA! For the first time ever we attended a stand alone nosework trial. It was so fun to just focus on nosework for a day and to not rush in-between rounds of other events at a cluster.

—Advanced Containers—
Eevee didn’t qualify in either round of her advanced containers. She alerted on a toy hidden in the boxes for both trials. Training error on my part for not practicing distractions! 🤷🏻‍♀️

—Novice Interior—
The interior searches here were very different from other UKC trials I’ve done. Instead of random obvious items on the floor it was a corner of a room with a chair, wheelbarrow and other non-conspicuous things. Trial 1 she was confused about what we were doing but in trial 2 she figured out the game and got a Q!

I was shocked how well she did here! She alerted very quickly. I think at this point eevee had warmed up and was ready to really work.

Despite having never practiced vehicle (thanks snow) we qualified in both trials! She gave me some solid head whips as we passed the car bumpers with odor which made it easy to call alert. I think she actually liked this element quite a bit.

She’s now 1 novice interior q away from her NN title (novice nosework all elements title)! Which I hope to get soon. I’m so proud of Beav for her hard work today. I've made a ton of updates to the website lately. Most of the dogs now have a photo gallery on their page instead of just 3 photos. I also have updated health testing, titles, and etc for 2026 so far.
