Our youngest bear has passed on, and our hearts are broken. Sometimes losing a pet can hurt the same
as losing a person 😞 Karina was full of playfulness and love all her life. She would throw squeaky balls or toys and then go and pounce on them to make them squeak like a cat would. She of course had no idea she was too big to be a lap dog, like a typical brt. She was super healthy until she wasn’t. She went down hill so fast after we discovered she had pneumonia. Despite everything in the end we had to do what was best for her and not us.
We let her go yesterday and we pray she is playing with all of the bears that went before her. 💔 final dx idopathic mega esophagus

Start grabbing a few gallons of water every grocery store trip — or more if you own horses — and getting those animal carriers, rigs and trailers in shape: Hurricane season 2026 has arrived.☂️

The good news is that the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting below-normal activity in the Atlantic this year, with a 35% chance of a near-normal season, a 10% chance of an above-normal season and a 55% chance of a below-normal season. 🔆

Here are a few things you can take care of now:

🐴 Get vaccinations, worming and hoof care up-to-date.
🐕 Make sure your dog’s collar has an ID and keep an extra leash near the pet carrier so you don’t have to find it.
🐈‍⬛ If you don’t have a carrier, get one or store away a simple cardboard box. A common reason people get caught in bad weather is because they do not have carriers for cats.

Our very first pup rescued from the auction is officially medically cleared and ready for her next steps toward adoption 💕

Adorable Tia recently turned 6 months old, weighs 9 pounds, and is now a happy, healthy little girl. She is now up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on monthly preventatives. Her eyes, knees, hips, and heart are all clear and congenitally sound at this time, and all of her labwork is normal and negative.

When Tia first arrived, she was timid, terrified, and unsure of the world around her. But over the past month, we’ve had the joy of watching her blossom into a typical playful, happy, curious, and mischievous puppy 💜

We are now working with her foster family to get her officially listed for adoption, which will include more details about her and what we are seeking in her furever home. Tia is being fostered in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 🌴

Our Penny has shown well for the last two days with great results! Following her debut day with a major win, she went on to become the reserve winner the second day. Today was her third day showing, and her handler said she showed even better today than yesterday, and since her first day, she has been happy in the ring, and it's obvious she loves showing.
This makes my heart happy. Looks like we may have our first show girl cavalier !!
Penny got her second major win today ! She was Best Female class dog ( for my non dog show peeps) and then Best of Winners !!

When an unusually long lasting kennel cough appeared across the U.S., researchers began searching for answers in the genetic material found in sick dogs.

With support from the AKC Canine Health Foundation, Dr. David Needle at the University of New Hampshire is studying BARDiD, a newly identified bacterium that appears to be linked to respiratory disease in dogs.

His team is using an advanced DNA sequencing method to better understand the bacterium’s genetic makeup and to learn more about its possible role in canine respiratory illness.

Seven years ago, we experienced an extraordinary moment when we showcased at Fletcher, NC, with phenomenal outcomes, highlighted by the exceptional performances of Oli and Rhanda! Today, our talented cavalier Penny (Paulette Kiev Celebrity) made her debut and triumphantly earned the titles of Winners Bitch and Best of Winners, securing a major victory at a supported entry! I was overcome with emotion, feeling an overwhelming sense of pride and joy when her remarkable handler, Michelle Jones, shared the fantastic news with me!! I wish I had of been there to see this team in person !
