Feature Friday — #29 Willow

This old gal is the best. It probably seems like we say that a lot, but that is because we have a lot of horses that are just the best! And there is no doubt that Willow is taking care of business…everyday 😉

Willow usually packs kids on kids camp pack trips which isn’t a job for just any horse. Not too long ago she carried adults on sightseeing pack trips and was Kay’s guide horse during the fall, but with age came a promotion to a less physically demanding job.

Last fall was probably Willow’s last year going into hunting camp. This year she will most likely enjoy relaxing on pasture instead of taking that long trail into Hawks Rest.

🌶️Habanero

This little guy has an interesting silver color to him. His mom is nearly black (even if it’s hard to tell in the photo) and she is an Appaloosa. His dad is a big bay Clyde/Perchon cross.

The mother’s name is pepper, hence why the colt’s name is habanero because we like to stick to themes based on the mother’s name each year. Plus he just has a spicy personality.

What color do you think this little pepper will be when he ripens? 🤔
