Everybody loves seeing the puppies, but there’s a whole lot of work that goes on behind the scenes that most people never see. 😂 Here’s a little look at what goes into getting vaccines prepared, paperwork filled out, and vaccination records updated before we start rounding up puppies. Every puppy gets its own health record, and keeping everything organized is a big part of managing multiple litters. It’s not the most exciting part of breeding dogs, but it’s part of the responsibility that comes with it. Once the prep work is done, it’s time to go find some puppies! 🐾💉

We were cutting it a little close on dog food, so the timing on this delivery couldn’t have been much better. 65 bags of Inukshuk showed up today and got the food room stocked back up. With as many dogs as we feed, food is one area we’re not willing to cheap out on.

We’ve fed Inukshuk for a while now and have been extremely happy with it. For me, a quality dog food isn’t about having the prettiest bag or the longest ingredient list. I want good animal-based protein, quality fats, plenty of calories and nutrients without having to feed a ridiculous amount of food, and something the dogs actually do well on. Good weight, solid muscle, healthy coats, good energy and good stools. That’s what matters to me, and that’s what we’ve consistently gotten with Inukshuk.

I also don’t believe you should have to completely change foods every time your dog reaches another birthday. A good, well-rounded food should be able to support a dog from puppyhood through its senior years. You adjust how much you’re feeding and the formula when the individual dog needs it, but the nutritional foundation shouldn’t have to constantly change.

They’re getting bigger, bolder, and a whole lot harder to keep still for the camera. 😂

These pups are really starting to come into their own now. Good heads, plenty of bone, and personality for days.
