Had multiple relationships. Close friendships. Family bonds. But my dog understands my soul in a way no human ever has. Not because he's perfect he's anxious, needy, destroys things during storms. But the way he loves? Completely. Without conditions or judgment. He's seen me at my absolute worst and never wavered. Knows all my flaws and loves me harder for them.

That soul-deep connection where someone just GETS you? Found it with my dog. People love you despite your darkness. Dogs love you including it. That's the difference. That's why out of everyone I've ever loved, he matches my soul most perfectly.
