We want to thank the vendors, On Tap, Controlled Chaos Coffee, Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, Four99 food truck, Bouncin’ Out Bounce Houses, Matt McKinley Music, Hella Stellar, Wayne Atkinson Photography, our staff and volunteers and of course, every single one of you who showed up on Saturday to make our third annual Spring Community Day the success it was! We had vendors selling out, saw tons of new faces, pet lots of cute dogs, dozens of tours, and saw some familiar faces too!

We are so grateful for our community every day, the community who consistently answers our calls, our donation pleas, and we love to show new faces what we do and the mission we strive for every day.

Weren’t able to stop by but wanna see what we’re all about? Stop by for a tour at anytime during our open hours! We’d be happy to show you around!

Summer is the perfect time to make a lifesaving difference by fostering with Lake Norman Humane! Whether you can open your home for a weekend, a few weeks, or longer, every foster home helps us save more animals. We provide everything you need, including food, supplies, medical care, and support from our team every step of the way. From playful puppies and kittens to moms with babies, medical cases, and dogs who need a break from shelter life, there is a foster opportunity for everyone. Even better, all of our dogs who have been with us for 90+ days are eligible for fostering. Ready to change a life this summer? Become a foster and help an animal find comfort, love, and a fresh start.

Some of you may remember Beethoven, but here he is again! He found his way back to us after his owner unfortunately passed away. Beethoven is the most laid back 11 year old around, and would love to share his time with someone who also lives life in the slow lane (like the really slow lane). Think Eeyore plopping himself around. That’s kinda what Beethoven is like.

Despite the cards life has dealt him, he is so loving and sweet! He is gentle, laid back, and ready for a forever home to take LOTS of naps in. Come by to meet him this week.
