The Totalbond team took some free time to practice IV catheter placement😊
We used old paper towel rolls, IV fluid line, and Pink fixative fluid to mimic the feeling of a real dog leg vein. Practice makes perfect and IV placement is a vital part of everyday life in the animal hospital.😁

Oh Kate sweet Kate.
While this is social media’s first time seeing her, We get the privilege of treating Kate 2 times a week!😊
Kate’s sweet parents bring her in every week multiple times to get fluids and solensia administered - oh and some cuddles too.
Solensia is an Injection made for cats to control pain and support mobility, and it sure does make a difference for her. 💗

Rabies is fatal. Please protect your pets and yourselves by keeping your pets up to date on their rabies vaccine! Farm animals can also be vaccinated for rabies - ask about that before interacting with them to keep yourself and your family safe.

Possible exposure dates/locations include:
-Statesville
-Lexington
-Mecklenburg
-Watauga
-Burke
-Davie
-Durham
-Iredell counties.

If you touched or handled the goats at any of these events, contact your local health department before visiting urgent care/ER to see if preventive treatment is needed.
Rabies is deadly but preventable.
