Training isn’t about controlling your dog, it’s about giving them the skills to make better choices, even when distractions show up.

This dog came from the shelter labeled as not suitable around small children due to his high energy and was also reactive toward other dogs. His new owner adopted him anyway and wanted to start working on those behaviors immediately.

This video shows his first training session. It starts with him barking and reacting to another dog. By the end of the session, he’s calmly existing next to that same dog, a child is able to calmly interact with him while we use a muzzle for everyone’s safety, and you’ll see his first introduction to his new canine sister.

This doesn’t mean he’s “fixed.” One session doesn’t erase behavior. It takes consistency, structure, and continued training. But it does show how quickly clear communication and the right guidance can change a dog’s mindset.

Dogs deserve to be evaluated as individuals not defined by a label.

Every dog deserves a chance to feel safe, loved, and understood. This sweet girl was recently rescued, and we've been working on building her confidence through positive socialization since she gets nervous around strangers. After a great training session we think she earned a little spoiling. Watching rescue dogs learn to trust again is one of the and most rewarding parts of what we do. We truly love every dog that comes through our doors.

Stars, stripes, and safe pup reminders! 🇺🇸

The 4th of July is fun for us but fireworks and heat can be overwhelming for our dogs.

🐾 Keep them indoors during fireworks.
🐾 Ensure they’re wearing updated ID tags.
🐾 Provide fresh water and plenty of shade.
🐾 Never leave your dog in a hot parked car.
🐾 Avoid walking on hot pavement.
🐾 If your dog is anxious, give them a quiet, comfortable place to relax.
