Turns out, starting a new chapter keeps you pretty busy. 🥹🐾

New home. New yard. New routines. Lots of familiar little faces and a few new ones, too.

We've been settling in, playing, planting, enriching, rearranging, figuring out what works... and already making this place feel very Impawssible.

There's still SO much I want to do here (Archie's blueberries have already been assigned real estate 🫐😂), and honestly, I think that's my favorite part.

This isn't a finished-space reveal. It's the beginning.
And I'm really excited that you guys get to build it with us. 🤎

Not every dog comes to daycare looking for the same thing and that's exactly how it should be. 🤍🐾

If you look closely at this photo, you'll notice something happening in the background.

Some of the dogs are happily playing together while another is enjoying scratches and taking a break.

That's one of my favorite parts about running a small, home-based daycare. Dogs aren't meant to be entertained every second of the day.

Some love to wrestle, some prefer to sniff the yard, some seek out people, and others are happiest simply watching the fun unfold.

Our goal isn't to make every dog fit the same schedule. It's to provide a safe environment where each dog can play, rest, explore, and socialize at a pace that feels comfortable for them.

Because a great daycare isn't about keeping dogs busy...

It's about helping them be themselves. ❤️

This is honestly one of my favorite parts of the day.

Watching everyone patiently wait their turn, then seeing each dog enjoy enrichment in their own unique way never gets old.

These little moments are a big part of why we put so much emphasis on purposeful enrichment. It's not just about keeping dogs busy, it's about giving them opportunities to use their natural behaviors, build confidence, and simply enjoy being dogs. 🤍

When the North Carolina heat turns up, we adjust our routine, not just push through it.

Instead of long, active play sessions during the hottest part of the day, we focus on things like: 🍉 Hydrating treats 🌴 Sniffari adventures 🧠 Enrichment activities 💧 Plenty of fresh water ❄️ Lots of indoor rest and cooling breaks.

Watching them enjoy a simple slice of watermelon might be one of our favorite parts of the season. ❤️

We're so excited to welcome Ruby to Puppy Preschool!

One of my favorite parts of working with puppies is watching them grow—not just in training, but in confidence. Over the next few weeks, Ruby will be learning appropriate social skills, exploring enrichment, building confidence, and practicing all of the little life skills that help puppies become wonderful companions.

Every puppy learns at their own pace, and getting to be part of that journey never gets old.

I found the recipe in The Forever Dog Life and immediately knew I had to try it. 😂

Made with dog-friendly ingredients and shaped into a tennis ball, it was almost too cute to give away... almost.

The pups spent a solid amount of time trying to figure out if it was a toy or a snack. 🐶🎾

Dog enrichment doesn't have to be complicated. 🐶

I love trying new foods and making enrichment look pretty, but honestly? Sometimes enrichment is just your dog's dinner in a bowl.

A little yogurt, a few safe toppings, their regular food, and you've already made mealtime more interesting.

Don't let social media convince you that you need fancy supplies or complicated recipes. Your dog doesn't care if it's aesthetic—they care that it's fun.

Simple enrichment can help:
✨ slow down mealtime
✨ encourage licking and sniffing
✨ provide mental stimulation
✨ make everyday routines more engaging

Training starts the moment your puppy decides you're more interesting than everything else in the room.

That's what we're building here.

Before we can teach cues, manners, or leash skills, we have to become relevant to the puppy.

Most people see a cute group photo.

I see dogs making good choices.

One of the biggest misconceptions about socialization is that dogs need to constantly play or interact with other dogs. In reality, one of the most important social skills a dog can learn is how to be calm, comfortable, and focused around other dogs without feeling the need to engage all the time.

The dogs in this photo are practicing patience, impulse control, and appropriate social behavior. These are the same skills that help dogs succeed in everyday life—whether that's walking through a park, relaxing at a brewery, visiting the vet, or welcoming guests into the home.

At Impawssible Pups, our goal isn't just tired dogs. It's confident dogs who know how to make good choices. 🤎🐾
