Edit: To those asking we do not know the cause of her sudden downfall. She displayed symptoms of colic and I had my vet out. No gut sounds so we orally supplied her with mineral oil and within a half hour gut sounds appeared. She was given antibiotics as a precaution and I took her for a walk to help her bowels to move. She pooped but ultimately went back down. She appeared had difficulty standing the rest of the day and the vet gave me more antibiotics to add to the exceed she was given. By night she was unable to stand but was drinking. The next morning I gave her water, food and antibiotics and had to get hay. By the time I returned she had passed. Without a nerocrospy we won't know what caused whatever made her depleted so fast. I can not afford one and have been racking my brain over the cause. One theory of mine is a selenium deficiency which I just found out is common in east coast regions like WV. I never heard of it before. The other is inophore poisioning which can happen when feed manufacturers use the same items to produce cattle and horse feeds in the same facility. This is not supposed to happen but there has been cases of it reported in the past few years. I thank everyone for their sympathies and wish I would have noticed symptoms sooner but up until Wednesday she seemed fine. Eating, drinking and moving with the herd.

RIP my perfect little filly. I think you were just too perfect for this world. You will be missed so much little Z.đŸ˜“

And since I did two updates on previous foals how about a third? Opus or as he is registered Braveheart SPF sires by Siggi Saha and out of Al Shama Sanora competed in Iron Mountain Endurance ride in August. He has been finishing strong for his first year and working on getting in shape competing in LDs this year. Super proud of Albert Toaderson and Opus and can't wait to see Albert back in the competition when he fully recovers from an accident a few months ago.

Another amazing update on two of my babies competed in Cowboy Dressage a couple weekends ago. Shutan Al Khamsa 2007 black Al Khamsa Sahanad gelding by OPA Yowel and out of HPF Caraga Ole and Sahanad Al Kazzam 2022 chestnut gelding by RMR Hanad and out of Solder Girl. I am so incredibly proud of them and their owner Hope Lewis and all they have accomplished.

Sahanads Nyte Fury black Al Khamsa Sahanad stallion by OPA Yowel and out of RMR Bint Sahanadah is on a new adventure. This past late Spring/early Summer he made the move to Texas and placed into training. He has been excelling phenomenally and is scheduled to go to his first show in November. He will be starting out show jumping. I am so excited for this boy and makes me proud to be his breeder. He is the epitome of how versatile these bloodlines are.

Nothing better than watching a herd run in from the far end of the field when you call them.

Welcome to the World our little Zahara. She is a little over 24 hours old and a little spitfire with extra mareitude already. So happy that OPA Yowel is still able to sire foals in his mid twenties. One more Yowel baby surprise in the next couple weeks.
