🚨 **Urethral obstruction is a true emergency!** 🚨
Tofu came into our care after developing a **urethral obstruction**, a condition that can occur more commonly in male cats. When a cat is unable to urinate, it can quickly become life-threatening and requires immediate veterinary attention.
Signs of a possible urinary obstruction include:
🐾 Straining to urinate or spending a long time in the litter box
🐾 Vocalizing or showing signs of pain while trying to urinate
🐾 Attempting to urinate outside of the litter box
🐾 Frequent trips to the litter box with little or no urine produced
🐾 A painful or tense abdomen
**If you notice these signs, don't wait! Contact us immediately or seek emergency veterinary care.**
Thankfully, after a few days of treatment and monitoring, Tofu was feeling much better and was able to head home. 💚
He was such a sweet patient and made sure to keep our team entertained with **plenty of biscuits!** 🥰🐱
