Wood Element
The Wood element in Chinese medicine is associated with growth and flexibility. The Wood season is spring, the season of new growth and rebirth. The color is green, and the organs associated with it are the liver and gallbladder.
Together, the liver and gallbladder regulate the smooth flow of qi (energy) and emotions. The liver has many roles, one of which is detoxification and helps us plan our lives. The gallbladder, in TCM, helps us in making wise decisions.
The emotion associated with the Wood element is anger.
When the Wood element is in balance, you feel optimistic, benevolent, and courageous.
When the Wood element is out of balance, you feel frustrated, overwhelmed and angry.
Is your horse predominantly a Wood personality? If so, they will be competitive, courageous, love what they do, most likely will be at the top of the pecking order in a herd, and will be quick to let you know their opinion.
When they get out of balance, they get angry easily, frustrated when asked to do the same thing more than twice, and overwhelmed.
