Liz Daly is the founder of Shoot the Gap Productions, a creative brand rooted deep in the grit and soul of the rodeo world. Raised in the heart of the bucking bull industry, Lizโ€™s story started young, capturing raw, adrenaline-filled moments on her momโ€™s phone at the practice pen. Drawn especially to the bullfighters, the true protectors of the arena, she developed an early eye for storytelling through action, risk, and resilience.
By seventeen, Liz had already co-founded a rodeo production company, helping produce nearly a dozen rodeos each year. During that time, she built her skills in graphic design and media while forming strong connections with contestants. Driven by a desire to serve the athletes she admired, she traveled alongside them, creating powerful visual content that showcased their dedication, courage, and identity beyond the arena.
In the past year, Liz made the leap from mobile content to professional camera work. What began as an exploration of videography quickly shifted after a single still-photography event in April changed her path entirely. Since then, she has committed fully to photography, refining her craft and vision.
After attending a western photography clinic in Arkansas, Liz discovered her defining element: light. To her, light is more than technique, it is spiritual. It is the closest expression of her faith and the thread that ties her work together. She believes faith is woven into the fabric of rodeo, and her goal is for viewers to feel that presence first through the light in every image.
Lizโ€™s work captures the moments most people overlook, the stillness before the ride, the chaos behind the chutes, the quiet prayers, the exhaustion, and the untold stories that live in between. Her lens is not just focused on action, but on truth.
As she continues to grow, Liz is expanding her work across the broader agricultural world, including livestock shows, ranching, farming, cow-calf operations, and western storytelling. No matter the setting, her mission remains the same: to honor the people, the faith, and the unseen moments that define the western way of life. Artist 2 Artist Showcase is proud to have her as a featured Photographer. *** NEW DATE *** AUGUST 1ST 2026
