Here are a few steps you can take now to help keep your pet safe:
🐾 Make sure your pet's microchip information is up to date.
🐾 Check that collars and ID tags are secure and current.
🐾 Keep pets indoors during fireworks displays—even pets who normally spend time outside.
🐾 Create a quiet, comfortable space where your pet can retreat if they become anxious.
🐾 Close windows, blinds, and curtains to help reduce noise and flashes of light.
🐾 Turn on a TV, fan, or white noise machine to help mask firework sounds.
🐾 Exercise dogs earlier in the day before festivities begin.
🐾 If your veterinarian has prescribed anti-anxiety medications, refill them before the holiday weekend! If you haven't called already, now is a good time!
