Happy Fall, y’all!🍁 I’ve been playing with my new washable dye and some stencils. They are fun for quick, temporary color on light to medium colored coats. The color will fade after a week or two and washes off pretty easily.

For a limited time, I’m offering a complimentary stencil to my regulars who qualify, so I can get the hang of using them. To qualify the coat needs to be light enough to take color, and the dog comfortable with grooming. Although these stencils don’t take anywhere near as much extra time as permanent dye, creative grooming is not for animals who are anxious.

Sunny has two fire stencils, as well as permanent dye on his bracelets, tail, and sun. Coach has a pumpkin stencil, and Chloe has three leaves. Chloe’s didn’t turn out great, as I’m still experimenting. But I was impressed that even with her darker coat, the darker colors showed up. No color will show on a black coat, though. Yes, I tried. 😂

It makes me so angry when people dump domestic animals outside to fend for themselves! It is cruel and there are resources to help you re-home, such as ANH here in Bear Lake.

This Maine C**n was used for breeding, and I groomed him several times for the original owner. When she was done breeding him, she dumped him and he went to the house of a kind lady, who didn’t know he had been left, so found the original owner and gave him back. However, he was abandoned a second time and went back to the kind lady, who took him in and loves him. He used to weigh 17 lbs, but when she took him to the vet, he was only 13 lbs! He had mats that had to be shaved off, but fortunately most of his coat was salvageable.

The calico cat is declawed, but someone abandoned her anyway, defenseless as she was. Fortunately, a nice family took her in and she has a good home now, though she is covered with scars.

The last kitty wasn’t dumped and has a good owner, but she’s cute so I included her anyway. She was pretty matted and had to be shaved.
