Summer moves happen. People come to Monticello, for UAM, for work, for family, and suddenly they need a vet they can actually trust. That's us. ๐Ÿพ

O'Fallon Veterinary Service has been family-owned and operated right here in Drew County for over 20 years. We're not a chain. We're not a corporate clinic. We're the people in your community who know your animals by name, and actually care what happens to them.

We see dogs, cats, and small animals. We offer boarding and grooming. We have a special discount for UAM students.

And right now, we're taking new patients.

First step is easy, just call us at (870) 367-5242 and we'll get you scheduled. Monticello is a great place to land. And we're glad you're here. ๐Ÿ’™

Here's a question worth asking yourself right now: when did your dog or cat last get vaccinated? ๐Ÿ’‰๐Ÿพ

If you can't remember, that's your answer. Summer is actually the highest-risk season for rabies, distemper, and parvovirus. More animals are outdoors, more wildlife contact happens, and unvaccinated pets are exposed without their owners ever knowing it.

Rabies is required by law. Distemper and parvo can be fatal, and parvo in particular spreads fast in warm weather. These aren't scare tactics. They're just facts from people who've seen what happens when pets aren't protected.

The good news: it's quick, it's affordable, and we're right here.

Give us a call at (870) 367-5242 and we'll get your dog or cat in.

We're at 1054 Hwy 425 S in Monticello. Walk-ins welcome when we're not slammed, but a quick call ahead never hurts. ๐ŸŒฟ

Now is the worst time of the year for fleas, ticks, and heartworm, and Arkansas summers don't play around. ๐ŸฆŸ๐Ÿ•

Here's the thing most pet owners don't know: a single missed dose of monthly prevention is all it takes to open the window. Fleas can lay 50 eggs a day. Ticks in our area carry multiple diseases. And heartworm? One infected mosquito bite is enough, and treatment is expensive and hard on your dog.

The good news: one simple monthly preventative handles all three. We carry them right here at the clinic, no appointment needed, just stop in or call ahead.

Don't wait until you see them scratching. Come see us at 1054 Hwy 425 S or call (870) 367-5242. ๐ŸŒฟ

We're going to say something that might make you uncomfortable, because it needs to be said. ๐ŸŒก๏ธ๐Ÿ•

Every single summer, dogs die in hot cars. Not because their owners are bad people. Because it happens fast, faster than most people think.

On a 90ยฐF Arkansas day, the inside of your car hits 110ยฐF in under 10 minutes. A dog can go from uncomfortable to critical in that same window. If you ever see a dog in a hot parked car in Monticello, don't wait. You have our full support.

If your dog shows signs of heat stroke (excessive panting, drooling, won't stand up), wet them with cool, NOT cold, water and call us immediately at (870) 367-5242. Share this post. It might save a life this summer. ๐Ÿ™

Spaying and neutering your pets is one of the most important things you can do for their long-term health, and we want to make it as accessible as possible for every family in Monticello and Drew County.

We also offer a discount for UAM students, because your pets deserve great care even on a college budget. ๐ŸŽ“

Quick question, when's the last time your pet had a full wellness exam? ๐Ÿพ

If you're thinking "it's been a while," you're not alone. Summer is actually the perfect time to get it done before the back-to-school rush hits. A routine checkup can catch things early that you'd never notice at home, and it keeps your pet's vaccinations current too. We see dogs, cats, and large animals, and we're taking new patients.

Call us at (870) 367-5242 to get on the schedule. Let's keep your animals healthy all year long. ๐ŸŒฟ

Happy 4th of July from all of us at O'Fallon Veterinary Service! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐ŸŽ†

While you're celebrating tonight, here's a quick reminder from your local vet: more pets go missing on July 4th than any other day of the year, the fireworks are terrifying for them, even if they seem okay. Keep your dogs and cats indoors, make sure their ID tags are current, and set up a quiet room away from windows.

If you're concerned about severe anxiety, call us, there are options that can help. Stay safe, Monticello. We're proud to serve this community. ๐Ÿพ

07/02/2026
