Piatt County Animal Shelter Inc - PCAS Promoting animal welfare through education, spay/neutering and placement in forever homes.

The Piatt County Animal Shelter is no-kill shelter, operating on donations from the public to help educate the public about animal welfare issues and find homes for animals in need. We promote spay/neutering, vaccinating, and microchipping in our adoption and education programs. Foster families and volunteers help prepare animals for a new forever family and are vital in assessing an animals' personality for the perfect fit into the right home.

Look what a little extra love and patience can do. ❤️

Bridget is an incredibly shy and timid girl. She isn’t mean at all — she’s just unsure of people and still learning to trust.

Recently, she started accepting treats from a volunteer sitting quietly with her. And then came the BIG moment: Bridget came out on her own to get a treat! 🥹

It may seem like a little thing, but for a shy cat like Bridget, it’s huge.

Cats like Bridget just need someone willing to give them the time and patience to come out of their shell. And when they do, those little breakthroughs are pretty special. ❤️🐾

🚨 **WE NEED OUR COMMUNITY** 🚨

We are currently **AT CAPACITY** and, unfortunately, we cannot take in any more stray or homeless cats right now. 💔

That means there are cats in our community who need help, and we simply don’t have the space to help them. This is where **YOU** come in.

🏡 ** Can you adopt? ** 🏡
⏩ Please fill out an adoption application:
https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/ILPC/Cat

🐾 ** Can’t adopt? Can you foster? ** 🐾
Fostering gives us the space to help more cats. Even fostering one cat can make a HUGE difference.
⏩ Apply to foster:

💌 ** Can’t adopt or foster? **💌
⏩ Then **SHARE this post.** Seriously. Your share could reach the person who can help.

We need our community more than ever right now. ❤️‍🩹

**Adopt. Foster. Share.**
Every little bit helps us save more lives. 🐾

🖤 **Cocoa Puff is still waiting.** 🖤

We honestly don’t understand it. This girl is **SO friendly**, sweet, and ready to be someone’s best friend, yet she has had almost no interest. 😭

Cocoa Puff is 2 years old and has spent most of her life waiting for someone to choose her. And yes, she’s a black cat—but please don’t let that be the reason you scroll past her. Black cats are just as loving, goofy, playful, and deserving as any other cat. 🖤

She doesn’t need much. She just needs **someone to finally see her.**

Come meet Cocoa Puff and see for yourself what a sweet girl she is!
