As we prepare to close the doors of Monticello Animal Hospital today, we want to take a special moment to recognize two incredible people: Tami and Hannah.

For years, they have poured their hearts into caring for your pets and keeping this clinic running smoothly. Their compassion, patience, and tireless dedication have meant the world to us and to every furry friend that walked through our doors.

A special message from Dr. John Hageman: "I want to express my deepest appreciation to both Tami and Hannah for their hard work and commitment. They have truly been the backbone of this practice, and I simply couldn't have made it this far without them. Thank you both for everything."

Please join us in the comments to wish Tami and Hannah the absolute best in their next chapters! 🐾❤️

It is with a mix of sadness and immense gratitude that we announce the upcoming closure of Monticello Animal Hospital. After over 4 wonderful decades of caring for your furry family members, Dr. Hageman is officially retiring!

We want to sincerely thank the Monticello community for trusting us with the health and happiness of your pets over the years. It has been an absolute honor to be a part of their lives and yours.

Important Details for Our Clients:
• Our final day of operation will be Friday, Aug 21.
• We are excited to announce that Dr. Sterrett and the Delphi Animal staff will be taking on our current client load. All files will be seamlessly integrated so there is no lapse in reminders or patient care.

We will miss seeing all of you and your wonderful pets. Thank you for your support, loyalty, and friendship. We wish you all the very best! 🐾❤️

A Note to Our Clients 🐾

We wanted to let our valued clients know that Dr. Hageman has to undergo last-minute back surgery tomorrow. Because of this, he will be out of the office for the next 2+ weeks to rest and recover.

We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during this unexpected break. In the meantime, please note that all appointments can be made directly through our website at https://kiosk.rhapsody.vet/?businessId=2y1p041J&embed=true&language=en-US.

We look forward to having him back to helping your pets very soon. Thank you for your support! ❤️

🌎💚 World Mental Health Day 💚🌎

Today, we pause to recognize the importance of mental health — for our clients, our team, and everyone who dedicates their hearts to caring for animals.

Veterinary medicine is one of the most rewarding careers, but it can also be emotionally demanding. To all pet parents, fellow veterinary professionals, and friends in our community: please remember that your mental well-being matters just as much as the health of the pets we care for.

Take a moment today to breathe, connect, and reach out if you need support — it’s okay to ask for help. 💬🐾

Let’s continue creating a community where kindness, understanding, and compassion extend to both animals and people.

Welcome to Monticello Animal Hospital! We are dedicated to providing the best care for your pet.
