Cat Patch Inc.

Look at all these kitties!

We made Cat Patch Inc. official last June because we believed colony care work mattered. Three months later, Cutter—our V-CEO, builder, and grounding force—was diagnosed with stage four cancer.

Everything we built together became something I’ve been maintaining solo. And now I can finally say: I can’t do it alone anymore.

Cutter didn’t just support Cat Patch, he embodied it with his bare hands and his giant heart. This place grew because of him. It exists because of him, and now I have to figure out how to keep it going without him backing me up.

The cats show up because I still do. Will you show up for them too?

This kind of love doesn’t quit when things get hard. It roots deeper. It stays.

Please help us stay, too.

A year ago, we shared the news: Cat Patch Inc. was officially a nonprofit.
Then came quiet.

Where have we been?

When the dream gets heavy, the person beside you fades, and the fire starts burning low…

They don’t understand cancer, but they know. They feel how the sorrow has changed the cadence of my step. How my mind drifts. How my peace wavers. They may not understand stage four… but they feel it in the quiet where he used to stand.

This Christmas Eve, the Cat Shack is full of magic; our community, stray, and feral cats are finding warmth, safety, and love, and even their wild friends, like Bahama Mama the opossum, are joining the holiday feast.

But we need your help! The Cat Shack is still unfinished, and we’re working hard to create a space that provides warmth all winter long. Did you know we heat the Cat Shack to make sure every cat and friend has a safe and cozy place to stay during the coldest nights?

If you’ve recently renovated or have leftover building materials like barn wood, panel board, or anything similar please don’t throw it away! Donate it to Cat Patch Inc. and help us finish this sanctuary space. Plus, your donations can be tax-deductible (depending on your unique tax situation), and we will happily issue a receipt that reflects your generosity. Please see https://www.catpatchinc.org/donate for more information about our 501(c)3 tax exempt nonprofit status!

Together, we can make sure every little spirit has the warmth and safety they deserve this holiday season. Message us today to coordinate your donation and be a part of making furry tails comes true!

AI is one resilient cat! Showed up with a hurt leg but acted like it wasn’t a big deal. Turns out he fractured it, and bad. Vet said amputation is the best course or treatment, as surgical reconstruction only has a 50/50 success rate for this type of injury. In the meantime he is on pain medication and antibiotics.
