"It will always be about the dogs."

Not the ribbons. Not the titles. Not the trophies.

Those things are wonderful, but they're never the reason we do what we do.

We train so our dogs can be part of our lives. So they can join us on family adventures, walk confidently by our side, and be welcomed wherever life takes us. We train so we can trust them, and so they can trust us.

Because a well-trained dog isn't just a dog that listens—it's a dog that gets to experience more of the world with the people they love.

The real reward isn't what happens in the ring. It's the hikes, the road trips, the evenings at the lake, the walks through town, and the memories made together without worry.

At the end of the day, it will always be about creating a life where dogs and their families can do more, explore more, and enjoy more—together. ❤️🐾

🐾🌟 MDA Dog Addict of the Month: TUBBY! 🌟🐾
Tubby may be retired from competing in dog sports, but retirement definitely hasn’t slowed him down! 💙 He still loves attending agility classes to stay active and have fun with his friends.

During his competition days, Tubby earned his AKC Conformation Championship title — an incredible accomplishment! 🏆 In addition, he also earned his AKC Canine Good Citizen title and Intermediate Trick Dog title.

These days, Tubby’s most important job is serving as a therapy dog with Helping and Healing Paws Therapy Dogs 🐶❤️ Alongside his mom, he visits people multiple times each week to spread comfort, smiles, and lots of love.

When he’s off duty, Tubby enjoys chasing tennis balls 🎾, swimming 🏊‍♂️, and giving kisses to anyone willing to accept them 😘🐾

We are so proud to celebrate this sweet, talented, and hardworking boy as our Dog Addict of the Month!

This Memorial Day, we honor the heroes — both human and canine — who gave everything for our freedom. 🐾❤️
We remember the courage, loyalty, and sacrifice of those who served and protected alongside their four-legged partners. Their dedication will never be forgotten.
Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we pause to honor the fallen.

Meet our Student of the Month, Gianna! 🐾✨

Gianna first joined us last November for a Basic Obedience class as a foster dog. Her foster mom found out quickly that Gianna loved to learning new skills and since then she’s been thriving in Trick Dog and Intro to Agility! Trick dog and Intro to Agility have given Gianna a fun outlet for all her energy. From building confidence and focus to mastering off-leash agility runs, this smart girl continues to impress us every week. 💪🐶 One of their favorite moments? Watching Gianna confidently run her very first agility course off-leash without straying once! 🎉

Her mom shared that training has completely transformed their walks, what used to be stressful with pulling and not paying attention has turned into a strengthened bond, and mutual trust. They have even purchased a back yard agility equipment set to practice at home with since she enjoys class so much !

We can’t wait to see what this special girl accomplishes next as she continues her agility journey and prepares for Canine Explorers after a summer of camping adventures. ❤️

Way to go, Gianna! We’re so proud of you! 🐕🌟

Big cheers to our May graduates at Monticello Dog Academy 🎓🐾

Our Puppy Kindergarten and Basic Obedience pups worked hard all month learning confidence, focus, manners, and teamwork with their humans — and they absolutely crushed it! From first sits to reliable stays, we’re so proud of every tail wagging student who crossed the “graduation stage” this month.

Congratulations to all of our amazing dogs and owners. Keep practicing, keep bonding, and keep having fun together! 💙🐶
