Elephants like hanging out at the water's edge to cool their massive bodies, drink up to 50+ gallons of water a day. And they enjoy socializing with the herd. The waterhole serves as a crucial hub for family bonding, mud-bathing to protect their sensitive skin, and keeping a protective eye on young calves. Plus, everyone love dipping their toes.
