🐾 MEET THE PACK: KOLLYNS 🐾

Our next Meet the Pack is for a girl who proves that sometimes the biggest personalities come in the sweetest, most wonderfully clueless packages. 😂❤️

Meet Kollyns — our lovable Golden Retriever with a heart of gold, the cutest little smile, and a personality that's just as sweet as it is delightfully aloof. 🥹🐾

When Kollyns first joined us, daycare was a pretty big adjustment. Being away from Mom and Dad wasn't exactly her idea of a good time, and she wasn't shy about letting us know she missed them!

But with a little time, patience, and plenty of reassurance, Kollyns started finding her confidence and getting comfortable with her Pet Place family. ❤️

Now, she's happy to spend her days with us, enjoying the company of her friends and handlers without worrying quite so much about when Mom and Dad are coming back. Watching her become so comfortable here has been such a sweet transformation!

And if there's one thing you should know about Kollyns, it's that she is an absolute LOVER of people. 🥰

She has a special talent for finding a handler, planting herself directly on their feet, and deciding that they're simply not going anywhere for a while. 😂 Apparently, personal space is optional when you're this adorable.

You'll also frequently catch her proudly carrying around the tiniest toys she can find. There's something about a full-sized Golden Retriever wandering around with a ridiculously small toy in her mouth that never fails to make us laugh. 🧸

And then there's THAT SMILE! 😁❤️

Kollyns has perfected the art of the tiniest little mlem 👅 and the most precious teefers smile you've ever seen. Whether she's giving us a little tongue blep or showing off those adorable front teeth, she somehow manages to look both ridiculously goofy and impossibly sweet at the same time. 😂🥹

She's gentle, wonderfully oblivious to the chaos around her, and genuinely just happy to be loved.

Kollyns doesn't need to be the loudest pup in the room or the center of every game. She's perfectly content enjoying the little things — a tiny toy, a familiar face, a comfortable pair of feet to sit on, and plenty of affection. ❤️

🐾 MEET THE PACK: SLOANE 🐾

Our next Meet the Pack is for a pup who has been keeping us on our toes since his puppy days… and somehow only gets away with more as he gets older. 😂❤️

Meet Sloane — our resident chaos coordinator, self-appointed leader of the zoomies, and a boy with a smile that could get him out of just about anything. 🐾

Sloane first joined us as a puppy, still figuring out how to navigate the big world around him, make friends, and find his place in the pack. We've had the pleasure of watching him grow from that little pup learning the ropes into one of the BIGGEST personalities in our playroom!

And let's just say… he found his confidence. 😂

These days, Sloane is one of our main instigators of fun, a friend to just about everyone, and the undisputed KING of yard zoomies! 👑💨

If there's a game of chase happening, there's a pretty good chance Sloane started it. You'll often find him racing across the yard, recruiting anyone and everyone willing to join, and leading a whole parade of pups behind him. Apparently, a good set of zoomies is a group activity, and Sloane takes his recruitment duties VERY seriously. 😂

He's the kind of dog who can turn an ordinary afternoon into a full-blown playroom party just by deciding it's time for everyone to have some fun.

And then there's THAT SMILE. 😁❤️

Anyone who knows Sloane knows his signature grin — the one that practically says, "Me? Do something wrong? I would NEVER." 👀

It's a smile that has gotten him out of plenty of trouble, especially when he's standing in the middle of the chaos he almost certainly helped create. 😂

Watching Sloane grow from a puppy learning how to navigate the world into the confident, social, fun-loving boy he is today has been such a joy.

🐾 MEET THE PACK: HALEY 🐾

Our next Meet the Pack is for a special girl who reminds us just how much a dog can blossom when given the time, patience, and space to be themselves. ❤️

Meet Haley — our resident mom friend, puppy welcoming committee, and one of the sweetest souls in the Pet Place pack. 🥹🐾

Haley joined us last summer after transferring from a much larger daycare, where she often got lost in the crowd and struggled to let her personality shine.

When Haley came to Pet Place, we let her take things at her own pace. No pressure, no rushing friendships — just the time and space to come out of her shell on her own terms.

And boy, has she BLOSSOMED! ❤️

Not only did Haley find her confidence and friendships, but she also discovered the joy of something she hadn't really shown interest in before — TOYS! 🧸 Watching her learn to play, explore, and genuinely enjoy toys has been one of those little milestones that means so much to us.

Today, Haley is one of our regulars, and you'll find her here just about every day! She's gone from a quieter girl finding her footing to one of the familiar faces who helps make Pet Place feel like home for so many other pups.

You'll often catch her monitoring the daily chaos, checking in on her friends, or making her rounds to greet all her littles. 😂❤️

One of our favorite things about Haley is her natural ability to welcome newcomers. She's often the first to take a new puppy under her wing, patiently showing them the ropes and helping them find their place in the pack. 🥹🐾

She's basically everyone's honorary daycare mom, and she takes her responsibilities VERY seriously.

Of course, being the mom friend is exhausting work! 😂 When she isn't supervising the youngsters, you'll probably find her soaking up some sunshine or curled up for a well-deserved nap. ☀️😴

Watching Haley go from a pup who struggled to find her place to one who now helps OTHER dogs find theirs has been incredibly special. ❤️

🐾 MEET THE PACK: BUNSEN 🐾

Our next Meet the Pack proves that you’re never too old to find a whole new group of friends. ❤️

Meet Bunsen, one of our oldest daycare guests and a very special member of the Pet Place family.

Bunsen joined us last year after his family experienced a loss that left him struggling to be home alone. His dad hated seeing him having such a hard time, so Bunsen came to Pet Place looking for a little extra companionship during the day.

And somewhere along the way, daycare simply became part of his life. 🥹❤️

Despite being one of our senior gentlemen, Bunsen has absolutely THRIVED here. He quickly became one of our regulars, and our staff couldn’t love having him around more.

You’ll frequently find this little guy casually wandering amongst our big dogs — because according to Bunsen, size is completely irrelevant. 😂 He’s perfectly content hanging out with the big kids, occasionally keeping the youngsters in check and reminding them that their elders deserve a little respect.

Of course, being the senior member of the group comes with certain privileges.

Sometimes he’ll find himself the perfect napping spot and snooze while the chaos carries on around him. Other times, he’ll curl up alongside one of his furiends for a group nap — or seek out one of his handlers for some well-deserved snuggles. ❤️ Bunsen is always happy to cozy up with his people and soak in a little extra love.

And when the Illinois temperatures start dropping, this distinguished gentleman comes prepared. 😂 Bunsen has his own collection of sweaters to keep him warm through the colder months, so naturally we get to look forward to seeing what he’ll be wearing to daycare that day. 🧥🐾

When he’s feeling particularly productive, you may even find him in the office helping us with some very important Pet Place business. 🗂️🐾

He doesn’t need to be the fastest dog in the yard or the one wrestling in the middle of the group. Bunsen simply likes being part of it — wandering around, spending time with his friends and handlers, supervising the kids, finding someone to snuggle with, and enjoying his days surrounded by company.

What started as a way to help an older pup through a difficult change has turned into getting to watch him find a whole second home and routine with us.

And we feel pretty lucky that he did. ❤️

🐾 MEET THE PACK: DEE DEE 🐾

For our next Meet the Pack, it only felt fitting to introduce one of the pups who helps us start just about every day at Pet Place. ❤️

Meet Dee Dee — our pint-sized diva with enough personality to make up for anything she lacks in size. 😂👑

Dee Dee is also one of our earlier additions to the Pet Place pack, and we’ve had the absolute pleasure of watching her grow up right before our eyes. She first started coming to us when she was just 4 months old, and we’ve gotten to watch that tiny puppy grow into the confident, opinionated little lady who now helps run the place. 🥹❤️

She’s often one of the very first pups through our doors in the morning, and you can almost always hear her making sure everyone knows she has arrived! Dee Dee takes her morning duties very seriously, which of course includes saying a VERY enthusiastic good morning to all of her friends. 📣🐾

Once everyone has been properly greeted, you can usually find her holding court from her favorite spot: her throne on top of the playset. 👑 From there, she can oversee her kingdom, keep tabs on the daycare happenings, and—more often than not—squeeze in a nap. Because every princess needs her beauty sleep. 💅😴

Of course, her throne isn’t her only preferred perch. Dee Dee also has a habit of climbing onto her handlers and perching on us like a tiny parrot whenever the opportunity presents itself. 😂🦜 Apparently when you’re this small, your humans double as portable furniture.

And speaking of being a princess… Dee Dee is also our resident dogfluencer. 📸✨ She has her very own Instagram following and, naturally, a wardrobe worthy of someone with her social status. From seasonal looks to outfits perfectly coordinated with our daycare themes, Dee Dee rarely misses an opportunity to make a fashion statement. We’re just lucky she lets the rest of us appear in her content. 💅👗

When she isn’t modeling her latest look, ruling from her throne, or using a handler as her personal perch, Dee Dee loves hanging out with her doodle and little-dog crew, especially her besties Haley, Jango, and Maverick. Whether she’s playing with her friends, announcing her opinions to the room, or simply supervising from above, there is never any question that Dee Dee is in the building. 😂

From a 4-month-old little pup finding her place in the pack to the fashionable playset princess we know and love today, it’s been pretty special getting to watch her grow up. ❤️

She may be little, but the attitude, personality, fashion sense, and love packed into that tiny body are anything but.

It’s been a couple of days since our last Sorting Hat check-in, and the halls of Howlbarks have gotten a whole lot fuller! 🏰⚡️🐾

And we have to give a special shoutout to SLOBBERIN because their representation is officially on the rise! 🐍💚 Apparently we have more clever, confident, mischievous little masterminds walking among us than we originally thought. 👀😂 The pups who know what they want, know how to get it, and occasionally believe the rules are merely… suggestions.

🦁 Griffindog continues to welcome our bold adventurers — the first ones into the action and always ready for whatever comes next.

🦡 Hufflepup is filling up with our sweet, loyal social butterflies and professional cuddle bugs who are simply happy to be here with their friends.

🦅 Ravenpaw continues collecting the thinkers — our observant, curious pups who like to read the room, learn the routine, and calculate whether joining the chaos is actually worth it. 😂

And 🐍 Slobberin? Well… they’ve clearly been recruiting. 😂

The Sorting Hat has been VERY busy these last few days, and we have plenty of newly sorted witches and wizards to introduce! 🪄✨

🐾 MEET THE PACK: HALIE 🐾

There was really only one pup we could start this series with. ❤️

Before Pet Place officially opened its doors, before the daycare groups, the friendships, the countless photos, and all the pups who would eventually become our family… Halie was the very first set of paws to step over our threshold. 🥹🐾

Our sweet Irish Doodle has been here since Day 1 — literally — and Pet Place just wouldn’t feel like Pet Place without her.

Halie is one of our quieter girls, but don’t let that fool you into thinking she doesn’t have plenty of personality. 😂 She has her select group of friends who she absolutely adores, but she’s just as content finding herself a comfy spot where she can relax and quietly supervise the rest of her pack.

When she isn’t overseeing daycare operations, you’ll probably find her sneaking away to soak up ALL the snuggles from her handlers. ❤️

And then there are the balls…

Those are Halie’s babies. 😂🎾

She’ll happily chase after them, gather them up, and make sure her collection is exactly where she wants it. We’re pretty sure she takes inventory.

She’s sweet, wonderfully quirky, quietly affectionate, and has been part of this place since before Pet Place was even officially Pet Place.

So it only feels right that the pup who was first through our doors gets to be the very first pup you meet. ❤️

Our Day 1 girl, our professional pack supervisor, our ball collector, and forever a very special part of the Pet Place family.
