Since this guy made his debut at the HERPS Exotic Reptile and Pet Shows this weekend we figured it’s time we finally post him!

If you’ve been following us closely you know we’ve been gunning for a super gravel ultramel clown for a while and we were almost certain we hit it with this guy! However, after looking over the entire clutch very carefully, we believe the parents were actually het caramel as well. What we ended up hitting is actually a super gravel Camarillo clown.

Now while this snake is lights out amazing!! and perfectly healthy with no kinking whatsoever, hitting a caramel when not expecting it is just about the worst outcome we could have had. We fully plan to get back into this project caramel-free very soon with new animals, but in the meantime, we believe in full transparency. All 2026 babies sired by the same dad of this clutch(total of 3 clutches) will be labeled as pos het caramel, and any animals in this project past 2026 we will have done our due diligence to filter out all of the caramel in our collection.
