However, once I have introduced obedience training to the dogs, in concert, with assessing their bad habits, this makes for a great combination! Educating my "human" clients is absolutely one of the key ingredients in bonding with their dogs through respect of each other. They are taught how to read their animals and at exactly the right moment for validating their needs and thoughts. Walking your
animals should be done by the owners, however, there are instances where this is not possible. Therefore, the next best option is hiring me to walk and help stimulate the dogs' senses, all of them! I explain to some clients that will ask me, "why walk them when they are in a huge backyard?" My response?... It's like you being placed in the yard on a Saturday when you really want to be out with friends, running errands, or even shopping. That's your stimulation that you absolutely need to retain "normalcy". They have the same needs!!! Often people have the times in their lives that they need to "place" their animals at the kennels in order to handle whatever issues they need to address: Vacations, business, family, etc., often, leaving the animals at home, keeps them in a more secure atmosphere with no issues because it is familiar territory. Nothing really changes for the exception of their owners' absence... This is why I visit and care for them up to as many times as you require!
