🫣Apparently Seminole Feed has made its way to Chewy!
So I thought this was a good time for a reminder that sometimes shopping local doesn’t just support a small business, it can save you money, too.
I compared Chewy’s current prices with mine, and depending on the feed, you’re saving roughly $7–$14 per bag by purchasing locally from me.
🐴 Wellness Senior Mix
Mine: $28.50 | Chewy: $35.99
🐴 Wellness DynaSport
Mine: $32.00 | Chewy: $40.49
🐴 Equalizer
Mine: $32.50 | Chewy: $39.49
🐴 Ultra Bloom
Mine: $40.00 | Chewy: $53.99
🐴 Wellness Herbal Blend
Mine: $27.50 | Chewy: $37.49
🐴 Exacta 14
Mine: $23.50 | Chewy: $30.76
And here’s a little transparency from the dealer side of things:
Both feed costs and freight have increased this year. I haven’t raised my retail prices.
After purchasing the feed and paying to have it shipped here, my average profit is $3 per bag.
I didn’t become a Seminole dealer because I expected to get rich selling horse feed. I did it because I believe in the products, I feed them to my own horses, and I wanted our local horse community to have access to quality nutrition at a reasonable price.
Horse ownership is expensive enough. If I can keep quality feed affordable while making enough to continue offering it locally, I’m happy with that.
And yes, I offer local delivery, too!
Before you hit “Autoship,” send me a message. You may be able to support a local dealer, have your feed brought to you, and save a pretty significant amount of money in the process.
Support local. Feed quality. Spend less.
