Breeding season has been in full swing here lately. Somehow we have managed to get mares in & out just in time for the next one to take up a temporary residence. We are happy to say that so far, 100% of mares bred have safely checked in foal! And all but one was on the first cycle too. The only one that needed a rebreed was a mare that needed Regumate (hormone) supplementation. She took the first try, but lost it so we rebred, added Regumate and she's now safe in foal.

The recent shipments that have went out have all been timed well, so we feel good about those, and the mares that just left or just finished breeding we feel good about too, so with that being said, we do have a few stalls opening up for anyone who's looking for a later-season baby.

Both our boys are collecting & cooling great and are available for shipped or on-farm breeding. Give us a shout if you still want a date for your mare!

And thank you to those who've trusted us thus far with your ladies; we've seen some nice ones come through here! 😍

It's a good day here! It started out at 5:32 this morning with baby boy's first breath. 🥰 This is a client mare here for foaling. She's a first time mom & doing great. Then we had follow-up ultrasound checks on a couple mares that are bred for January & glad to say both babies have good, strong heartbeats. And as a bonus, we have a mare here for a breeding that has a Bif baby at her side. Little Miss Susie Q is as cute as they come, so it's fun to get to spend some time with "our" babies, even tough they aren't "ours". We had a mare come in for breeding yesterday, one going home tonight, and probably one going home tomorrow. Busy, busy, but enjoyable work!

Oooooh boy, we have exciting news~ Another baby on board! This is our home-grown girl, A'nul, aka, Sexy Special Te. She's out of one of our best mares, Luna (A Fancy Celebri Te) who is a daughter of Klassy Celebri Te. On A'nul's top side she goes back to Big Sexy, and her sire's dam was Boundary Breaker, one of the best producing Thoroughbred mares to ever walk our pastures.

I'm not sure why we ever sold her, but at least we had the good sense to retain a couple breedings, so we've got the first one on board & we are super excited to see what she's going to produce with our new stud, Redacted. It should be a pleasure riding machine! 🤩 Oh, it's going to be a long 10 more months!

45 seconds. That's how long it took Bif to get the clean off of him from the expo. That includes sniff time of the mare who was in his pen over the weekend and checking the bucket for grain. 45 seconds from the time he was released until he hit the dirt. Gotta love Mr. Predictable. 😆

This is it! Last day of the Minnesota Horse Expo and this is all that's left of the "Sexy" buttons. Thanks to everyone for picking them up and wearing them. It's been kind of fun sitting at the evening rodeos and seeing them on shirts all over the Coliseum. 😁
