FOR SALE: 2010 Grulla broodmare.
Posting for a friend. She's 7 panel N/N, open and ready to breed in 2027. This mare has been to our farm several times and had some nice babies by our studs. Sorry, I can't remember her hight, but she's a decent sized mare, sound, and we always got along great with her. Priced to sell at $1,800. Located in SE Wisconsin. Contact me if interested & I'll hook you up with the owner.

Just got a nice update on Cash. He's found his calling as a trail instructor! He's been taking several different level riders through the trail courses, helping them become confident riders. He has learned that size doesn't matter, he listens well to even the wee ones. 🥰

We're making progress! The house roof is being replaced next week. The new barn will go right next to the old one. We're still waiting on materials for that, but hopefully they're get here soon so we can get that project going.

The tree stumps have been removed, the area has been graded, grass planted and up, so the new site is ready. We'll have to wait until winter to light up the burn pile, it's a big one! The other one in the field is about 3 times the size of this one.

You should have seen the mares do a double-take when they all walked by this morning. Now that the tin is off you can see through it, so they're like, "w-w-what's going on?

We're taking the old one down piece by piece. Yes, it would be waaaay easier to demolish it with a couple swipes of the excavator, but because there's going to be horses walking over the area, we have to pick up every stinking nail & screw. Painstaking work, but we'll thank ourselves later.

We appreciate those who plan early so we can plan ahead. We’re anticipating a busy 2027 and will have limited on-farm space, so we’re offering some great incentives.

This is "Obviously Its Time", a yearling filly by Redacted x Sheza Vivid Star. We had the pleasure of meeting her and her owner, Melissa Davis-Fekany, at the Buckskin Horse Association of Michigan Congress this past week.

Here's her show results:
🏆 Yearling Longe Line – Grand Champion
🏆 In-Hand Trail – Reserve Champion
🏆 Amateur All Age Mares – Reserve Champion
🏆 2 & Under Mares – Reserve Champion
AND
🏆 Reserve High Point ABRA 2 & Under Horse

I predict a very successful show career ahead for these two! 🤩

A couple weeks ago I told you the story about the red leadrope that had been hanging in our barn for years and kept getting shorter and shorter. Now that we're back to tearing apart the old barn, look how many places it showed up. The mice, squirrels and who else knows what, have been busy! 😆

Redacted has sired another Congress Champion!! 🎉 Big congratulations today to Melissa Davis-Fekany and "Lexi" (Obviously Its Time, by Redacted x Sheza Vivid Star). We had the pleasure of meeting Melissa and Lexi at the ABRA Congess in Michigan the other day. Today they won the Yearling Longe Line class and took Reserve Champion in In-Hand Trail. On Thursday, we watched her take two more Reserve Championships in Yearling Halter and All-Age Amateur Mare Halter. That's impressive for a yearling to do so well with aged mares. And even more impressive that she does so well in halter and then goes & wins the longe line. She is an adorable filly & it sounds like she's got personality to match. Can't wait to see what the future holds for this duo. 🤩

Our show day is complete and now that we are sitting and relaxing, it feels like it's about nap time! We've had a rough couple of days. Had to scramble to find a layover Barn to get here. The one we planned on had to cancel at the last minute due to a sick horse at their barn. And then yesterday we went out to start the truck to come back to the showgrounds and ended up having to tow it to the shop! It needs a new starter, and hopefully that's it, and we will get it back soon so we can head home.

Classes came fast and furious this morning, but we got both boys through. Our lowest placing was a sixth in Dun Factor with Redacted. Schatz took 4th out of a nice class of 20 in All Breed 3 & Over horses. He also got Reserve Champion in Buckskin Bred Geldings.

Redacted took 3rd in All Age Amateur Stallions. He tied with another horse for first place in the 3 and Over Stallions, but as our luck would have it, the tiebreaker judge was one who placed the other horse higher, so we ended up with the Reserve Championship.

Overall, not a bad showing. Redacted has been out at a trainer's lately getting some saddle time, so with all the work he's been putting in he has dropped quite a few pounds. He may have placed a little better today if he were still at home on our meal plan 😆, but still not bad considering he is bred as a riding horse, not for halter.
