For those of you who stopped by the Sons of Armageddon event this past weekend, you probably met our sweet girl, Raven! ❤️
We had a truly special visitor stop by to see her—Officer Wiggins, one of the officers who helped rescue Raven nearly a year ago.
Raven came to the shelter after suffering severe abuse at the hands of her owner. She arrived with major swelling on the right side of her head after being stomped. She was rushed to the veterinarian, where she was immediately started on pain medication and treatment to reduce the swelling.
Unfortunately, the damage was too severe, and Raven ultimately had to have her eye removed.
Despite everything she has endured, Raven has remained a loving, happy dog who still believes in people.
Over the past year, she has faced even more challenges, including heartworm treatment. A special thank you to Big Dog Rescue for helping make that treatment possible.
Now, as we approach the one-year anniversary of her arrival at the shelter, we would love nothing more than to find Raven the loving home she deserves.
🐾 2 years old
🐾 53 lbs
🐾 Spayed female
🐾 Kennel trained
🐾 Loves toys
🐾 Loves car rides
🐾 Good with other dogs
🐾 Enjoys playing with her yard friends
🐾 Walks well on a leash, though she can pull when excited
Raven does have a dominant personality, so she would do best in a home without another dominant dog.
This beautiful girl has survived more than any dog should ever have to endure. Now she just needs a family willing to give her the love, safety, and happiness she has always deserved.
If you think Raven might be the perfect addition to your family, please contact the Monroe County Animal Shelter to learn more about adopting her. ❤️🐾
