The beach in late September/beginning of October is AMAZING 🙌🏼 Weather was perfect, beaches were empty, restaurants weren’t crowded, water is still warm, it’s seriously the best time to go!

We made some great memories with our cutie, crazy boys and my parents! 🥰

Beach post #1! ☀️🌊🐚
•
After about a month away I’m back to posting!!! 💪🏼 We went to the beach a few weeks ago with my parents for our yearly beach trip and it was the best beach week ever!! 💛
•
I say this every year but each year gets more and more fun with the boys. As much as I miss their cute little baby selves running around, it is so much less stressful and more fun now 😂🙌🏼 We played golf, Jacob made up a bocce ball type game with the golf balls, played football, went on longgggg walks, boogie boarded, swam, found crabs and dug & played all day every day 🥰
•
We are so thankful for my parents and this special week with them! We had the best time and beach week flew by 🥲
•
This is post 1 of 3 so bear with me as we catch up! I’m also going to be posting new and old farm things to get us all caught up! Excited to be back and see what everyone has been up to and share everything we’ve been doing too!

I was feeling left out of the whole ‘first day of school’ picture thing so here are ours 😂❤️
•
We do year round school and go at their own pace for each subject so school and grades look a little different for us! Hudson is still doing pre k but will start kindergarten later this fall. Brooks is finishing up his last unit of kindergarten language arts/reading but has been in first grade math since this spring! Ford has been in second grade everything since this spring also 😊
•
We are so proud of them! They are all so stinking smart and thriving. There are so many reasons we love homeschooling- slow, calm mornings, fun days, more play, we make our own schedule, take breaks when we want, etc. but my favorite reason is that we can go at their own individual pace for each subject. If there is something they are really interested in- we can deep dive into it and learn extra! If there’s something they are not loving or having a hard time grasping- we can go slow, take breaks and learn it in different ways.
•
We have added a few subjects this year and as they get older, school takes a little longer so we are adjusting to our new routine and so far, so good! 🤞🏼
•
Happy school year, friends! ❤️👩🏼‍🏫

Operation get all the gardens under control is in full force! 💪🏼🌱
•
It is so, so, soooo hot out but most mornings and some nights are being spent weeding, mulching and harvesting recently. I’m taking a break from canning right now and have been freezing most of what I’m picking to deal with later. The garden always gets crazy in August and I’m feeling motivated to rein it in so I’m rolling with it! 🙌🏼
•
This is the after and before of the sauce house! 🍅 Tomato plants are coming back with a second wind so I tidied them up and am hoping to get some more out of them! This has been one of my worst tomato years ever but luckily I have plenty canned and frozen from last year still 🙏🏼

Corn 2026! 🌽
•
Lots of really good ears, lots of not really good ears from the rain (can’t be mad it rained though! I should’ve just picked it first 🤦🏼‍♀️), got some huitlacoche, and also still have some ears out there growing! The ones that went bad I’m leaving on the stalk to maybe be able to lay out for the deer and I’m still waiting for the fun, ornamental corn to get a little bigger.
•
Allllll of that corn only filled 3 quart bags but I think I way over packed them and it should’ve been more like 6 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s okay though, the boys loveeee corn and we don’t eat it often so I will either just be able to have leftovers or I can break half off and only cook some. This is the first time I went ahead and cut it off the cob and I’m glad I did! It was a little more work upfront but will save freezer space and also make dinners a little bit easier 😊
•
Huitlacoche, also called corn s**t, or Mexican truffle, is a Mexican delicacy! It’s a fungal disease, tastes similar to a mushroom and is packed with protein, fiber, minerals and antioxidants. It also contains high levels of essential amino acids like lysine, which regular corn doesn’t have. I’m excited to try cooking it on my own this year and adding to quesadillas and enchiladas! 😋
•
Corn maze 2026 was a success! I go back and forth on if growing corn is worth it. I grow it because I can and have the space but it takes a lot of space and is such a sensitive vegetable to grow! Do you grow corn?! 🌽

The summer garden is transitioning from the early crops to the later season crops! Berries have been done for a while, squash and zucchini slowing down, greens beans slowing down, corn should be ready soon and okra, peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes starting to show themselves!!! I actually just planted another round of green beans and I’ll put some more squash and zucchini out there but it’s time to start getting our fall seeds started! 🌱
•
I just canned my first round of pickled okra 😋 and tried cowboy candy for the first time! My banana peppers are sooooo spicy so I thought they’d be perfect for this. I have tons of other hot peppers that will be ready soon that I have canning ideas for! 🌶️
•
My garden looks terrible, there’s weeds everywhere, everything is dying and has diseases but it’s still producing and that’s all that matters!!! 💪🏼🙌🏼
•
Happy gardening friends 👩🏼‍🌾

Hudson is 5!!!! 😭❤️🥳
•
Time truly flies. The baby is no longer a baby and we are having a hard time wrapping our heads around him being 5!!!
•
The first few pictures are from his birthday and the rest are some of my favorites from the past year. He’s grown so much and looks so old all the sudden! He is really just the best and we all love him so so much. Happy birthday Hudsy!!!! “I love you to South Carolina and back with no car”
