Friends of Companion Animals Feline Rescue & Adoption Center is a 501c3 nonprofit animal welfare organization is a cats only shelter that has been preventing unwanted feline litters from growing up on the streets or entering the already overcrowded animal shelters in Monroe County since 2011. Friends of Companion Animals encourages the spaying/neutering of companion animals and conducts trap-neute

r-release in public places where free roaming cats are prevalent as volunteers permit. In the last two years alone they've adopted out over 1000 stray and surrendered cats and kittens into forever homes.

❤️ SOME STORIES BREAK YOUR HEART.. AND THEN SOMEONE COMES ALONG AND HELPS HEAL IT. ❤️

Kallie Is 10 years old.

She came to us after the people she loved abandoned her and her sister, Sadie. Two sisters who had no idea why the world had suddenly changed.

Sadly, Sadie, who was blind, has since crossed the rainbow bridge 🌈 💔

Kallie was Left behind to carry on without her.

For a 10-year-old girl who had already experienced such a terrible loss, we wanted something very simple for Kallie.

A safe home. Someone who would choose her. Someone who would love her for the rest of her life.

And today, Kallie has exactly that

Her adopter is not just giving her a home.

She's giving Kallie the best years of her life. The years she should have never had to spend wondering why she was abandoned. The years she should have been surrounded by love, comfort and family.

Kallie deserved to know that her story didn't end on that terrible day. It was only the beginning of the next chapter.

And what a beautiful chapter it's going to be. Happy life, sweet Kallie 💕

May your days ahead be filled with warm beds, gentle hands, endless love and all the security you should have had from the very beginning.

❤️THIS IS WHY WE SHARE. THIS IS WHY WE NEVER STOP ❤️

Santos had spent too long in the back, simply not up front where adopters could see him. And somehow, this big, beautiful, giant long-haired boy was being overlooked.

So we made a video of him!

And then YOU shared it! 💖

Our followers shared Santos and passed his video along, putting him in front of people who may never have known he was there.

And then something incredible happened...

One person saw the video and knew... This was her cat. The one she had been waiting for. 🥹

Because sometimes the difference between a cat being overlooked and a cat finding their way home is simply getting their story in front of the right person.

And Santos? This giant, gorgeous boy didn't want much. He just wanted to be snuggled, loved, and to be someone's special boy. He had spent far too long waiting for someone to see him.

And because YOU shared him, someone finally did.

This is what shares can do. They can reach the person we never could reach ourselves. Shares can change their lives.
