Story time ☀️
This is Whitney, Jan’s daughter. I just have to hop on here and share something that just happened that made me (continue) realizing what a magnificent facility my mom has built.
Christmas is my favorite holiday. It’s my mom’s favorite holiday too. I plan all year long on what gifts to get my loved ones, quietly listening to their wants and needs over the months to compile some ideas.
I did a quick google search to see “smart add ons a boarding facility could have for their boarders”
Thinking PEMF blankets, speciality therapy devices, services, etc.
Something I could get her to help out at the farm, or be able to add on to her additional services to generate the farm more income.
I was reading through the list it gave and while it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, it listed ENDLESS things that a “good boarding facility should have”.
… and she has every single one of them already.
All day turnout in spacious, safe turnouts.
Hot/cold wash rack with a heater and solarium
A comfortable, heated lounge/bathroom.
Rubber flooring for horse safety
Locking heated tack rooms.
Services for blanketing, farrier/vet appointments, medication, and exercise.
Quality footing
Hacking trails
Arena and individual stall fans
Heated grooming areas
Consistent sanitation measures
Continuing education opportunities
Digital barn scheduling (skylight)
Trailer parking
Quality feed
And so so so much more. She checked every box. She has things not even on those lists.
Not to mention the brand new top tier working equitation course they have spend the last several months building.
August 5th was her 10 year anniversary of owning the barn and she has built what is arguably in my opinion the best boarding facility in the area. Rarely do you find someone who puts the blood, sweat, tears, and love into their farms the way she does and it shows.
She’s far too humble to brag about herself, her farm, and what she’s built but I can. I’m so proud of you mom and I thought the world should know ❤️
