💙🐾 HI… I’M LITTLE JOE. I’M ONLY 5 MONTHS OLD, AND I’VE NEVER REALLY HAD A HOME. 🐾💙
I don’t remember much about being 5 weeks old…But I remember being hungry.😢
I was just a tiny puppy, all alone near a dumpster, trying to fill my belly with a dead animal because it was the only food I could find. 😢
Then a super sweet lady found me. 🙌🏼🙌🏼🐾 She took me home, fed me, loved me, got all my vaccines, had me neutered and kept me safe from heartworms, fleas and ticks. She even tried really hard to teach me all those big-boy things like potty training and sleeping in a kennel, and I’m pretty good most of the time 😁
She saved my life. ❤️
But I’m a puppy, I have energy. I need walks. I need room to play. I need somebody who can keep up with me. Unfortunately my sweet lady’s fragile health just wouldn’t let her anymore.
She cried & cried when she let me go, but she knew she had to for me. I will miss her, she was indeed a very special & kind lady! ❤️🐶
So please don’t be mad at her. 🥺
SHE didn’t throw me away. Somebody already did that once. SHE SAVED ME 💙🐾🐶 She just needed someone else to help finish what she started. 💙 It takes a village! 🫶🐾
So Dr. McClendon & Ms. Denise came and got me last night and I said my goodbyes. It’s bittersweet but I know I’m finally going to get a HOME 🏠🙏🏼🐾🦮💙
For now I’m staying at McClendon Vet Clinic. Everybody here loves me, and I love them too, but I don’t want to grow up in a kennel. 😢
I want grass.🏞️ I want walks. 🦮 I want to sniff approximately 4,782 things that are absolutely none of my business. 😂 I want toys scattered across somebody’s floor. I want somebody to fuss because I’m following them from room to room, cause I should probably warn you, once I decide you’re MY person, personal space is officially canceled. 😂🐶❤️🐾
I’m a little shy at first, but once I trust you, I’m basically a 21-pound Beagle-shaped appendage with a Pointer tail. 😂💙
But mostly…I just want to stop moving.
Dumpster ➡️ Apartment ➡️ Kennel ➡️ Vet Clinic…
That’s a lot of places for one little puppy. I’m ready for the next place to have just one name: 🏡 HOME.
