💔 Rescue Needed for Jax – A Gentle Giant Who Has Lost His Home 💔

Meet Jax, a 4-year-old, 125-pound Great Dane whose world has been turned upside down. His owner is moving and not taking him along. Now, this sweet boy finds himself in a shelter, waiting for someone to give him a second chance.

Despite losing the only home he’s known, Jax is still a happy, playful, and incredibly friendly boy. He loves attention, knows basic commands, and appears to do well with other dogs (see comments). 🐶❤️🐶

Unfortunately, Jax also has medical needs that require rescue intervention. 🩺
* Heartworm positive – Will need treatment.
* Growth on his back – Requires further veterinary evaluation.
* Ears – Possible infection; shelter staff have cleaned and treated his ears.
* Vaccinated – DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies.
* Intact male – 4 years old, 125 pounds.

💔 Rescue needed by Tuesday, October 13 for kitten with broken leg.

Little Elvira is only 9 weeks old, weighs just 2.8 pounds, and has already endured more than any baby should.

Elvira was found alongside another kitten in the engine compartment of a vehicle several weeks ago. Thankfully, both kittens were pulled to safety, but shelter staff suspect Elvira suffered an injury to her right front leg during that time.

Her leg appears to have an older fracture, and this tiny girl desperately needs rescue and veterinary care to determine the extent of the injury and what treatment will be necessary.

Despite what must be a painful injury, Elvira remains incredibly sweet, friendly, and loving. She does well with other cats and has shown nothing but kindness.

At just 9 weeks old, Elvira has her entire life ahead of her. She deserves the chance to grow up healthy, pain-free, and loved. But she needs a rescue willing to step in and get her the medical attention she needs.

Black puppy still needs rescue. Brown puppy was adopted.

Willie and Willow are just 8-week-old babies, and their little lives have already started out harder than they should have. 💔

These two puppies were originally found in a storm drain. Their finder cared for them for a couple of weeks, but unfortunately can no longer keep them, and Willie and Willow are now at the shelter needing rescue.

Despite everything, they are exactly what puppies should be. Playful, curious, sweet and friendly. 🐶❤️

Unfortunately, both puppies have areas of hair loss consistent with suspected ringworm. They need continued treatment and care beyond what can be provided in the shelter setting. 🧼🛁 💊

They can be rescued together or separately. Staff would love to see them stay together, but most importantly, they need to get these babies somewhere safe where they can receive treatment and continue growing.

Willie and Willow have received their DHPP and Bordetella vaccinations and have been dewormed. They are currently intact.

Sadly Waffles was euthanized. 💔 Shelters are overcrowded and multiples rescues are closing or unable to help because there are no committed fosters.

To help future rescue dogs, sign up to be a foster now with a local rescue. Get approved (can take 5-7 days) and be committed to help until the dog gets adopted.

Spay neuter your pets and encourage your friends and family to spay neuter.

🚨‼️DEADLINE for DOG FRIENDLY Waffles

Meet Waffles. 🧇❤️ He’s a 1½-year-old, 51-pound intact male Pit Bull who desperately needs a safe place to land.

Waffles came to the shelter as a stray after wandering onto someone’s property. The finder reported that their dogs attacked Waffles when he entered the property. Waffles did not retaliate, but unfortunately sustained several puncture wounds. 🤕🩹

Since arriving at the shelter, Waffles has been very scared and shut down. Despite how frightened he is, he has shown no signs of aggression and did well for his medical examination. He also appears to be friendly with other dogs. 🐶❤️🐶 Videos in comments!

As if this sweet boy hasn’t already been through enough, Waffles is also Heartworm Positive and will need treatment and continued care while he heals from his wounds.

💔 Shelter staff would love to see Waffles leave the shelter and enter a quiet, supportive environment where he can decompress and begin to understand that he is safe.

He is only 1½ years old. He needs a rescue willing to give him the time, patience, medical care, and security he deserves.

Shelia is only 8 months old and 27 pounds, still just a puppy, but the shelter has already become a very difficult place for her. She came in as a stray, and sadly, no owner ever came to reclaim her. 💔

Shelia is currently on the ADOPTION FLOOR and is fully vetted and ready to leave, but she is very shut down and overwhelmed by the shelter environment. Instead of getting to be the silly, carefree puppy she should be, she is struggling with the noise, activity, and stress around her.

Shelter staff would love to see Shelia out of the shelter and in a quieter, supportive environment where she can decompress, feel safe, and finally begin to show her true personality.

At only 8 months old, Shelia has her entire life ahead of her. She just needs someone willing to give her the time, patience, and security she needs to come out of her shell.

Amren is a sweet 2-year-old, 8-pound domestic short-haired cat who was surrendered to the shelter with her kittens after her owners no longer wanted them. 💔🥺

Her kittens are now ready for adoption, but Amren is the one who still needs help.

Amren has two broken upper canine teeth 🦷🦷that need to be surgically removed. Unfortunately, the shelter is not equipped to perform this procedure, so she needs a rescue commitment to get the veterinary care she deserves.

Despite everything she has been through, Amren is incredibly sweet and affectionate. ✨ She loves attention, enjoys being around people, and deserves the chance to get out of the shelter, have her painful teeth taken care of, and finally find a safe home of her own.

No rescue inquiries for injured dog! Today 9/30 is final day. 💔🙏🏻

Spanky came into the shelter as a stray, but sadly, no one ever came looking for him. Now this sweet boy needs a rescue to step up and give him the chance he deserves.

Meet Spanky
• 3 years old
• 39 lbs (small!)
• Intact male Hound mix
• Good with shelter staff
• Has done well around other dogs 🐶❤️🐶
• Heartworm positive
• Suspected cruciate injury to his back left leg

Spanky will need further veterinary evaluation and treatment for his injured leg, along with heartworm treatment. Despite everything he has going on, he has been a best boy ⭐️ for staff and deserves the opportunity to heal somewhere safe.

💉 Spanky has received his DHPP, Bordetella, and rabies vaccinations.

Spanky has already been let down once when no one came to reclaim him. Please help staff make sure his story doesn’t end at the shelter. A rescue commitment could give him the chance to heal and finally find the home he deserves.

Little Doris is only 8 weeks old and 3 pounds, and she needs a rescue to give her a little more time to get healthy. Give a like & comment if you love black cats! 🐈‍⬛❤️

Doris came to the shelter with an upper respiratory infection and eye discharge. 🤧 She is currently receiving Tobramycin antibiotic eye drops and is showing improvement, but she needs continued treatment longer than staff can provide at the shelter.

Despite not feeling her best, Doris is everything you would expect from a kitten. She is friendly, playful, affectionate and loves attention. 🤩

Biscuit came into the shelter carrying more than just herself. 🥴 This tiny 5-pound mama arrived with six kittens who are only about 3 weeks old and still completely dependent on her.

At just 1½ years old, Biscuit is still a baby herself. Now she is trying to nurse six babies inside a crowded shelter. 💔

The shelter currently has an overwhelming number of nursing moms and kittens, and a busy shelter is simply not where this little family should spend the next several weeks. They need a quiet, safe foster home where Biscuit can nurse her babies and they can grow without the stress and risks that come with remaining in a shelter.

Sampson - thank you Last Chance Animal Rescue

Sampson and Chloe have already lost the only home they knew. Now this sweet mother-and-son pair needs rescue to make sure the shelter isn’t where their story ends. 💔

They were surrendered after their owner said he could no longer keep them contained in an outdoor kennel. Interestingly, since arriving at the shelter, staff has had no trouble keeping either dog safely contained. Both have been incredibly sweet with staff and seem to do well with other dogs.

🐾 SAMPSON
• 4-year-old neutered male Shepherd mix
• 94 pounds
• Heartworm positive
• Very sweet with staff
• Seems to do well with other dogs

🐾 CHLOE
• 6-year-old intact female Shepherd mix
• 67 pounds
• Sampson’s mom ❤️
• Heartworm positive
• Very sweet with staff
• Seems to do well with other dogs

Unfortunately, both Sampson and Chloe are heartworm positive and will need treatment once they leave the shelter. Heartworms are treatable, and these two deserve the chance to get healthy and finally know what it feels like to be safe and loved.

Staff would love to see this mother and son leave together if possible, but staff does not want keeping them together to cost either dog a chance at rescue. If separate placements are what it takes to save them, staff will absolutely consider that.

Both dogs have received their DHPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccinations.
