๐พ Happy National Veterinary Technician Week! ๐พ
October 18โ24 is National Veterinary Technician Week, and weโre kicking off the celebration by recognizing two very special members of our Monroe Animal Care Hospital team โ Haven and Mia, our Licensed Veterinary Technicians! โค๏ธ
๐ฉบ Haven joined MACH in July 2025 and serves as our Lead Surgical Technician. She plays an important role in keeping our surgical procedures running smoothly, from preparing patients for surgery and monitoring anesthesia to providing attentive care throughout recovery. Her technical skills, dedication, and commitment to patient safety make her an invaluable part of our hospital.
๐ฉบ Mia joined our team on October 4, 2026, and brings extensive surgical experience and a strong background in veterinary medicine. Although sheโs new to MACH, weโre already excited about the knowledge, experience, and skills she brings to our surgical and patient care teams. Weโre delighted to welcome her!
๐ Both Haven and Mia are graduates of Athens Technical College. Becoming a Licensed Veterinary Technician requires a rigorous education in veterinary medicine, hands-on clinical training, and successfully passing a national credentialing examination. Their education and professional licensure reflect a commitment to providing skilled, compassionate veterinary care.
Licensed Veterinary Technicians are an essential part of veterinary medicine. Their responsibilities extend far beyond assisting veterinarians โ they are trained professionals who play critical roles in anesthesia, dentistry, laboratory diagnostics, nursing care, surgery, and patient monitoring.
Haven and Mia, thank you for choosing this profession and for sharing your talents with our patients and their families. We appreciate you and are so glad youโre part of the MACH family! โค๏ธ๐พ
Please join us in celebrating these two wonderful veterinary professionals!
