One of the biggest reasons I train my own dogs to true off-leash reliability is simple:

It gives them the freedom to be dogs.

In this video, Winnie is using her nose and natural hunting instincts to search for a ball that Cooper lost somewhere in the yard. They're running, exploring, problem-solving, and enjoying life the way dogs were designed to.

Good obedience isn't about controlling every move a dog makes. It's about building enough reliability and trust that you can safely give them more freedom.

The better trained the dog, the bigger their world becomes.

Winnie and Cooper are a pretty good reminder of that.

June Day School starts Tuesday, June 9th, and we will be running a shortened 6-day schedule for the month.

Current Day School students are receiving first priority registration. Any remaining openings will be offered to qualified clients from the waitlist.

Gary ended up being swooped up by our good friends Jeremy and Jessica Norris and has been living a life full of love and luxury with them.

Nose Work: The Indication Class

Looking to get started in nose work with your dog?

This class focuses on teaching a clear and consistent indication. Your dog will learn how to confidently locate odor and communicate exactly where it is, which is the foundation of all detection work.

Dogs of all ages are welcome, as long as they have good food or play drive.

Class Schedule:
Thursdays at 6:30 PM
May 7th – May 28th (4 weeks)

This class is exclusively for current and former Sparks K9 students. We use an interest form to make sure each dog is a good fit before sending out registration.
