What an amazing day at our outdoor adoption event! 🌞 🐾

Huge thank you to Save Monroe Strays Rescue and Humane Society of Monroe County for joining us today. We were a little nervous when the forecast called for a chilly 52 degrees, but the sun ☀ showed up right on time and totally saved the day. It turned into a beautiful afternoon — and even better, 6 kittens found their new forever homes!

We also want to give a big shoutout to our next‑door neighbors at Shoe Sensation for inviting Taqueria Nena’s food truck. Not only did we get to enjoy all the adorable kittens, puppies, and dogs, but we also got to enjoy some delicious, authentic Mexican food. 🌮 ❤️

Great company, great food, and great weather — we couldn’t have asked for more. Thank you to everyone who came out and made today so special! 🐶 🐱 💙

🚨 GET IN, LOSER. WE’RE GOING TO MEET YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND. 🐾😂

It’s adoption day at PetSmart, and our available cats and dogs have cleared their very busy schedules of napping and being ridiculously good-looking to meet YOU.

**Save Monroe Strays and the Humane Society of Monroe County** will be there TODAY with adoptable pets ready to find their forever families! ❤️

🐱 The cats are seeking permanent staff. Duties include opening cans, purchasing toys they’ll ignore, and apologizing when THEY trip YOU.

🐶 The dogs are looking for someone to love with their entire soul… and possibly supervise while you eat cheese.

Some want adventure. Some want cuddles. Some would like to knock something off your counter while maintaining direct eye contact. **Let’s find your kind of weird.** 😂❤️

And there’s more:
🌮 Taqueria Nena’s will have delicious authentic Mexican food for purchase.
👟 Shoe Sensation has a sidewalk sale next door.
🐾 We have potential soulmates who will never complain about your cooking because they also eat lint.

**Come meet the crew, ask questions, and see who fits your family.** These little personalities deserve homes where they can be loved for exactly who they are. 🏡🧡

Can’t adopt? SHARE! Somebody on your friends list needs a new love interest with four legs and absolutely no income. 😉

🐾🧸❤️ PETSMART MONROE CUSTOMERS — IT'S THAT TIME OF YEAR AGAIN! ❤️🧸🐾

You know that question we ask every year at checkout…

“Would you like to donate a $5 stuffed animal to Children's Hospital of Michigan?” 🧸❤️

Well, WE'RE BACK AT IT!! 🎉

We kicked off our annual Chance & Friends Donation Drive on Monday, and thanks to our AMAZING customers, we're already at OVER 210 DONATIONS! 🥳👏

Last year, because of YOU, we collected over 2,500 stuffed animals! This year, we're dreaming even BIGGER!

🎯 OUR GOAL: 3,000 STUFFED ANIMALS!

Now, here's the part where we ask for a little patience. 😂❤️

We're going to ask you that same question EVERY SINGLE TIME you come through our checkout! Our registers don't tell us if you've already donated, and we know so many of you have already generously given. Some of you even donate two, three, or more times! 🥹❤️

So please bear with us when we ask again (and again… and again! 🤣). We promise it's all for a wonderful cause!

Whether you donate once, twice, or ten times, please know how much we appreciate your kindness. Every single stuffed animal means another smile, another hug, and a little extra comfort for a child who could really use it. 🧸💕

📸 We'll keep you updated throughout the coming weeks as we work toward our goal! And one of our FAVORITE parts of this entire event is getting to visit the hospital and personally hand out some of those stuffed animals. We'll be sharing pictures from that special day, too! ❤️

🎄 You have until DECEMBER 24TH to donate! 🎄

To everyone who has already donated, THANK YOU! And to those who will be donating in the coming weeks, THANK YOU in advance!

We say it all the time, but we truly mean it — PetSmart Monroe has some of the most generous, caring, and AMAZING customers around! You never hesitate to show up when there's an opportunity to make a difference, and we couldn't do any of this without YOU! ❤️

Let's make this our BIGGEST year yet and put 3,000 smiles on 3,000 little faces! 🧸🥰

We hope to see you soon!

❤️🐾 Your PetSmart Monroe Team 🐾❤️
