These babies need your help! They were part of Monroe’s MEOW TNR program initially thought to be feral.
Turns out, after some patience and TLC, it was discovered they have potential to be house cats!
Wonderful fosters have stepped up to take them in and continue working with them in a home environment so they can thrive!

Fostering kitties along with caring for their own pets is an extra expense. They’re reaching out for help so they can continue doing what they do best!!

-Friskies pate and shreds MEAT (not seafood)

Way too cold and windy out there for these babies!! Can’t go for a walk but you know what you CAN do?
Fill a Snoop with food or treats for endless fun!
Apollo played with his for HOURS! I kid you not. It gets harder as they eat more kibble and the bigger the treats, the harder it is to get them out. Here’s the link!

Tank is such a love bug!!! His biggest wish is to find a home for Valentine’s Day! Could that be with you? Contact Monroe Animal Control to inquire and fill out an application! He’s super food motivated and friendly but is a big boy and would most likely need a dog savvy person or one with large dog experience. Will you be his valentine? 💘

Pet safety PSA for the storm!🐾

🥶 Extreme Cold Warning:
The temperatures and wind chills are dangerously cold. Even thick-coated dogs can develop frostbite or hypothermia in minutes. Keep outdoor time short (quick potty breaks only) and bring pets back inside right away.

🌨️ Massachusetts Law Reminder:
MA law prohibits leaving dogs outside in harsh weather (extreme cold, snow, ice, or weather warnings) for more than 15 minutes. Concerns can be reported to local police, animal control, or the MSPCA.

🧊 Paw & Body Safety:
Snow, ice, and salt can cause painful paw injuries. Check paws after every trip outside, wipe off ice melt/chemicals, and watch for limping or excessive licking. Booties or paw balm can help if your dog tolerates them.

🚗 Antifreeze & Vehicles:
Antifreeze is extremely toxic to pets and even small amounts can be fatal. Clean up spills immediately and check warm engine areas before starting cars, as animals may seek shelter there.

❄️ Fence Safety Reminder:
Please check your fence lines for snow buildup and drifts. Deep snow can make fences much easier for dogs to jump or escape. Clear along fences whenever it’s safe to do so. No play unless supervised! Electric fence owners, please be aware that electric fences may not work properly in deep snow.

❄️☃️🥶Stay safe out there everyone!

Tips to keep those babies and their precious paws safe during the storm:
🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾
•Put booties on them
•Rinse gently with lukewarm water when they come inside, dry fully
•Keep paws moisturized with paw balm, Vaseline or aquaphor sparingly if necessary for dry/cracked paws.
•DO NOT put them outside/tether them longer than 10-15mins tops as we are in a severe weather advisory (See C.G.S. 22-350a(b))
•Put a coat on them if they’re shorthaired.
•A thin layer of vaseline on the nose preemptively
•Shovel paths clear often and put down pet safe ice melt.
•If you have it, put a light up collar on them if they are white or lighter in color, or small.
•Go outside with them if you’re able to. Bundle up, stay safe, go slow and lift with your legs!
