Move over, humans! Ruxin here, the senior statesman of the household, taking a break from my busy nap schedule to give you the absolute inside scoop on this month’s Shining Stars—which, of course, features me and my chaotic little shadow, Rafi.
At twelve years young, I consider myself something of a Mini Goldendoodle connoisseur. I’ve spent over a decade perfecting the art of being the "calm in the storm." I’ve never met a toy I didn't like, though I have to keep my eyes peeled; if I’m enjoying a particularly good squeaker, you can bet Rafi is suddenly very interested in it, too. I like to think I carry a sophisticated aura. I don't just throw my affection around like some amateur; I give it on my own terms, which makes it feel like a high-honor reward when I finally decide it's time for a snuggle. I have a quiet way of sensing when my people need me most, and I always show up with a steady, reassuring presence to let them know I’m right there.
Then there is my little brother, Rafi. He’s nine, but honestly, the guy never got the memo that he’s supposed to be a grown-up dog. He’s got "eternal puppy" energy that keeps everyone on their toes. While I’m over here being Zen, he’s busy being Mom's personal assistant—and by assistant, I mean he follows her every single step while she works from home. He’s incredibly snuggly, but also a total wild card. One minute he’s a professional cuddler, and the next he’s finding an unpredictable way to make life "interesting." Like me, he lives for peanut butter, but his true passion is definitely stealing whatever toy I happen to be holding. He just can't help himself!
Our version of a perfect day is simple: slow, relaxed, and heavily featuring our favorite nap spots. We spend the hours soaking up attention and waiting for those inevitable, delicious snacks. We don't have a grand biography to share, but we do have a secret: we absolutely adore our visits with all of you! While other dogs might get the jitters, we get genuinely pumped for the vet, boarding, and grooming. We can’t wait to see you guys again—thanks for loving us almost as much as we love ourselves!
