I took this picture while I was flocking the rear panels of a saddle today. The panel on the right is the original condition/fullness of the panel. The panel on the left is after adding flocking. At this point, I was half way through flocking the saddle.
Little did I know I would be putting more flocking in. The art of flocking includes matching the angle of the horse's back yet keeping the panels flat enough to distribute the rider's weight. I don't want panels over stuffed and round. That will decrease the surface area allowing the rider's weight to be distributed over the horse's back.

I mean how can I argue? When you are right, you are right!

Why did I get this message for which I am truly grateful? I have have been working with this trainer for a couple years now. I know which saddles she has, I know her horses, and we have talked about what I need to see in pictures.

She knew something wasn't right. In fact one of her horses was telling her there is no doubt it was wrong.

After I assessed the pictures I was able to tell her to switch to her other saddle which was wider. Add a couple shims and voila! She's trucking along in harmony with her horses again.

It is so important to listen to your horse. You know your horse better than I do. I am happy to help. It takes a village of experts to make our horse dreams come true.

Another Contact Mono Dressage Saddle has found a home on a 5 year old mare. The saddle is designed to be adjustable if her back changes.
