Angel Wings Vet - Dr. Sara Forman

Angel Wings Vet - Dr. Sara Forman Thinking outside the clinic for end of life care. Angel Wings Pet Euthanasia Services is Dr. Sara Forman and family.

Dr. Sara has enjoyed twenty years of "official" service in the veterinary industry, starting as a receptionist in her family's practice, Memorial Animal Hospital, in Monaca, PA on the day she got her driver's license. As the stepdaughter of a well-respected local veterinarian, Dr. "Doc" Evans, Dr. Sara was in the office and immersed in the profession from elementary school onward. She began pract

icing veterinary medicine after her graduation from veterinary school in 2008 at Brady's Run Veterinary Hospital, which at the time was still owned by her family. It was while she was practicing at Brady's Run in 2016 that Dr. Sara began seeing her patients in their homes for euthanasia. A job change in 2017 saw Dr. Sara join Dr. Ashby Marshall's team at Moon Veterinary Hospital. This allowed Dr. Sara to spend more time with her young children (Cameron and Braden) as well as be more available for Angel Wings house calls. Today, her husband Joe is also an integral part of the team, providing support and handling delivery of precious pets home to their families after cremation. We look forward to caring for more families in our community.

Thank you so much for welcoming us into your space and helping the girls create a unique canvas! It was so much fun watching their creations come to life under your direction! This was definitely a great way to finish up a lovely vacation. I'll post more photos of the rest of the week later!

Peace out, Hand and Shoulder Center ❤️. Today I had my last recheck with Dr. Palmer and he cleared me to return fully to my normal life. Breaking a bone was certainly not in my summer plans, but working with his team was a pleasure - I never waited more than 5-10 minutes any time I was in the office, the place is spotless and the staff was always helpful and friendly. Highly recommend them! Also big thanks to my PT, Sarah at UPMC and the team at Faster Fitness for helping me rehab ❤️

Receiving excellent post-op care from Peco the home nurse 🥰

Thank you to everyone who reached out to wish me well. This morning Dr. Palmer used a titanium plate and 8 screws to fix my fracture. They did a great job at UPMC Passavant!

Now the real healing can begin ❤️

Thank you so much everyone for your well wishes ❤️. After some insurance induced shenanigans, we finally nailed down a surgery date to fix my broken clavicle - next Tuesday. It's going to be a long and boring week for me. I plan to be back to the clinic by the 2nd week of May. I likely won't be able to see any house calls for even longer. I'm not sure how long it'll be until I'm cleared to drive 🙁

Will take it one day at a time ❤️

Helmets save lives! I don't remember everything that happened, but I know I wrecked my road bike about 20 minutes into my planned 3.5 hour race rehearsal ride on Friday morning. Many thanks to the good Samaritans who stopped to help and kept me company until my husband and the Chippewa fire department first responders and the ambulance arrived. X-rays and CT found a broken clavicle and, praise God, no other injuries. I'm home now and I in a lot of discomfort. I think I'm going to need surgery, but I'm not a human doctor. I'm anxiously (and painfully) awaiting the appointment with the orthopedic doctor Monday morning to find out what happens next. I'm not sure when I'll be returning to house calls. I also realize my entire racing season is canceled 🥺

Congratulations on another successful Rabid Raccoon weekend! We LOVED trekking through the mud all weekend at Brady's Run Park!

I did not feel the greatest out there but I made it and got my finisher medal after 3am from the best race volunteer - MY MOM! And I took my daughter with me in my ears because she got me hooked on Hamilton.... So I listened to the whole thing from start to finish - yes it took me that long and then some to finish my half marathon!

I woke up really sore but also very hungry, so here's to breakfast, and I hope to see you all in the woods in 2026!

I’m blessed to get to handle these guys every day, but every time I see a video like this, I’m flabbergasted at how amazing cats are!!! I know I’m a day late for “National Cat Day” but today is Halloween, and he is wearing a costume so there’s that…

Seeing an aurora has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember! I always thought I'd have to travel to the make it happen but in May 2024, it was possible to see them in PA! All of my friends saw them and posted these amazing photos! We were in Kentucky and all we saw were the lights of the airport next to our hotel 😕 I was HEARTBROKEN 🥺

Thursday morning the news said it might happen again! I downloaded the tracking app. I looked at light pollution maps. I took a nap 😆. After Braden's swim practice ended at 8, I began looking to the sky. We went to a friend's house a little ways out of town and were amazed at how our phones pulled these beautiful colors from the subtlety green and red night sky. We drove a little further into the country and were rewarded with even more of a show! We could see it without our phones this time and I could have stayed in that field all night long! If there ever is a "next time", I'm staying up all night to watch 🥹

Still drinking in all the photos my friends posted on Friday, I came across an article about a comet that was going to be visible in the sky for the next few weeks. I used the sky walk app to figure out where and when to look. Sure enough, just after sunset a brilliant dash of light appeared in the western sky!

Between the aurora and the eclipse, 2024 has filled my celestial bucket!! What an amazing world we live in ❤️

"100 bad days made 100 good stories. 100 good stories make me interesting at parties" 🤣

Joe texted in the middle of an afternoon with the waiting room already packed "and we have another problem." Attatched was a photo of my running buddy's paw with a piece of wood sticking out from between his toes... 😳

Me: "Can you pull it out?"
Joe: "he tried to bite me..."
Me: "come on over 🥺"

Honestly I was shocked at the size of the piece of wood I pulled from that tiny foot!! It's nearly three inches long! Don't worry, Rockit got some good drugs before I touched him 💉

Never a dull moment...

Last year I conquered the entire course at 70.3 Happy Valley. Today, the bike course ate me for lunch 😳. Thank goodness I was on a relay team and didn't have to do the run (lucky Joe got to melt in the heat on the run today 🥵)

Yesterday I racked my bike in a severe thunderstorm. I didn't sleep much... 3:50 came really early. I was anxious about forgetting something important or having mechanical issues on the bike. I enjoyed the first half or so, including rejoicing over climbing Hubler's Ridge. I started to get fatigued just before "the mountain". I passed a lot of walkers up the mountain but I made it, and baked in the sun the whole way! I was dangerously close to heat exhaustion as I rolled into the third aid station, despite having been really aggressive with my nutrition and hydration strategy. I dowsed myself in ice water and took ten minutes to recover. The final 15 miles were torture. It was a hot sunny day and everyone suffered. I'm glad to be done with this one 😳

I paid the price today for imperfect training and preparation. I also witnessed superhuman feats of excellence from my friends who took on this difficult race and completed it in brutal conditions!

On to the next race in Erie - August 2nd
