Today we achieved flow and I’ll never get tired of that feeling when a c**t first finds it 🩵
Getting to both ends of a horse right away and getting the dance that’s so familiar on the ground transferred to the saddle just opens up the floodgates for their confidence to start carrying them forward. LaFee is naturally more forward than a lot of c**ts I’ve started, so getting to her feet was a lot about balance and connecting all her pieces, which resulted in some really nice forward and lateral movement and trot transitions that were so full of feel.
Every time I step off, I can’t help but look forward to the next time I get on!

Perfect pony, Iris, went along with us to the Pippa Callanan clinic and, of course, was a fan favorite ⭐️ she’s hauled great, settled into her new stall and turnout with no problems, and was positively unimpressed by the new venue. Iris was wonderful for to get her sea legs back after her long, post-baby riding break, and naturally, was a perfect lesson pony for a lovely little student of to ride in a clinic lesson. Little miss GooGooDolls continues to put a smile on my face even if I’m not the one riding🥰

LaFee, Iris, Peanut and I spent three fabulous days in North Carolina with Pippa Callanan 🩵 as always it was thoroughly insightful and thought provoking! I always leave feeling a deeper sense of understanding that I’m on the right path with my own horses as well as those I’ve been trusted to put time and work into.
I am always grateful for the time I get to spend with great teachers and come away with more and more tools to further my own skill and most importantly, help my horses.
Further thanks is more than due to Isis Hauser for letting me drag you along to be my copilot and videographer! And thanks to Kathleen and Peanut’s mom Brooke McGuffy for the opportunities to further my education⭐️

Oh wait, that’s just my unstarted three year old hot-blooded sport-horse filly who has boundaries and knows how to act civilized so my farrier won’t fire me 🤯😏
